"What are you doing here?"
Lisa removed her aviators smoothly, revealing her beautiful doe eyes that almost took my breath away.
This past few days I have realized that fighting off this tiny crush only makes it worse.
Thank goodness Hanbin is just behind me, bringing me back my sanity.
"Mina and I are going out tonight. Just wanna see if you're up for a double?" she wiggled her brows, looking over my shoulder to look at Hanbin.
I couldn't read if she was trying to intimidate him or just figuring him out. It's their first time meeting each other, and I know Lisa's been waiting for this day to come.
I feel bad that I also wasn't able to tell Lisa yet about Mina because I'm hoping that Mina will come clean, which I doubt will happen soon as Lisa's still clueless about it.
Maybe tonight I'll finally tell her... she deserves to know.
"Oh, about that..." I awkwardly shifted, not knowing how I'll ask Hanbin out for a date. "He's Hanbin by the way..."
He probably sensed my dilemma so he stepped up, "You must be Lisa, I've heard a lot about you," he smiled, extending his arm.
Yeah, I once told him she's overprotective of me. Somehow I'mglad that at least, she's acknowledging him and giving him a chance... but somehow it feels weird. Will she really be okay with me dating someone? I hope she will... be okay with it, I mean.
Lisa smiled back while accepting his hand. My eyes widened when she gripped his hand a bit hard, but at least tolerable, probably...
"Really? Well I hope they're only good things," she smirked while bringing back her hand to her side.
Hanbin forced a nervous laugh while pocketing his hand, "Yeah."
"So about the date? You guys in?" she raised her brow directly at him, as if testing his bravery. Goodness.
"I am in, sure," Hanbin answers, turning to me with a small smile.
"Alright then," I breathed hard, glaring at Lisa, "Where are we going? Or you can just text me-"
She cuts me while slinging her arm on my shoulder, "You can text him the exact address if he doesn't know that restaurant yet, or better yet he can just follow us, you're coming with me. You can drive yourself there right Hanbin?"
I tried to mask the sudden reaction of my body with her closeness by my annoyance.
"Lisa..."
Hanbin. Think of Hanbin. You really, really like him, Jennie.
"It's okay, I'll just follow you guys," he gave me a charming smile and I want to applaud him for not running away from me. Lisa is just as intimidating and protective as my brother.
"Good."
"I'll see you there, Jen," he adds.
"Drive safely," I gave him a small smile, which he returned with his boyish smile.
"Alright, this way," Lisa interrupted us as she slightly pushed me, her arm wrapped on my shoulder firmly while leading me to her car.
The familiar, slightly musky scent of Lisa swarmed my nose. It has always been the right mix, not too manly or strong nor too feminine.
And I didn't even look back to Hanbin, as if my brain totally forgot him.
Her being this protective... and close, God. I can't say I didn't like it one bit. It excites me and I can't see the rationality in it.
