"What a jerk," Rosé frowns after hearing my story.

"Mina was hurt-"

"Don't act as if you weren't hurt Jennie, I'm not as stupid as Lisa," she lectures me. She really hates Lisa now.

I sighed, "Are you sure you have nowhere else to be? It's Christmas eve."

"No, I told you Dad will be coming home in two days. Who else will I celebrate it with?"

"You should've told me your Dad won't make it for Christmas. I would've invited you over-" I stopped, realizing I don't know how I'd celebrate Christmas.

She shook her head at me, like she knew what I was thinking, "Maybe we were meant to be lonely together on Christmas day."

"I'm not lonely. I'm with you, silly," I gave my friend a small smile which she returned.

She let out a deep breath and looked away, "I clearly told her not to hurt you, damn her."

"But I'm really fine, Rosie. It's not her fault. It was mine, I was careless so Jay..."

"Still, you wouldn't be here if she was being a good girlfriend," the bitterness in her mouth made me frown.

I was about to say something when her phone rung, both of us looking at it. My eyes widened when I saw Jay's name.

Sadness crept all over me once again. I remembered how he was about to hit me earlier. Will he really do that, just because I fell in love?

I snatched her phone and declined his call.

"Jennie!"

"I'll talk to him tomorrow," I promised her.

"He'll get worried. It's almost Christmas and he's probably regretting being angry at you. You know how much he cares for you."

I tugged on her sweater and cuddled to my bestfriend, "We'll talk tomorrow."

She sighed, as if giving up on my stubbornness and just wrapped her arms on me. "I swear I'd kick your ass if only I didn't love you so much."

"But you love me so much so you'll just cuddle me instead," I murmured, slowly succumbing to sleep. Today was emotionally and physically draining. I almost thought I'd die in the cold earlier, thank God Chaeng prepared me a hot bath, hot chocolate and is cuddling me right now.

"I do. Too bad she didn't listen when I specifically told her not to hurt you. I'll take you away from her now," she jokes in a soft, soothing voice. I could only smile a little although I can feel my heart aching, wishing I'm in Lisa's arms right now, until I fell asleep in Rosie's arms.

"She's not here!" I gritted my teeth, harshly pushing his hands off the collar of my shirt.

He stumbled backwards but easily managed to regain his balance, that's when his eyes landed on Mina beside me.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Mina screamed at Jay, then stared at me worriedly, her hands on my arm.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" he looked so pissed while staring at me. "You asshole! I trusted you! I trusted you with Jennie and you did what?! Took advantage of her innocence and now you have the guts to make a fool out of her?!"

I heard Mina gasp. I stepped away from her hold to take a step closer to Jay, showing him that I'm in no way afraid of him because I did nothing wrong.

"Do you think she's some child that I can manipulate? Bullshit! She can decide on her own!"

"You could have stayed away from her!"
