Placing my reading glasses on top of my desk, I pinched the top of the bridge of my nose and leaned back on my swivel chair. I've worked overnight today to lessen my work load this week. Also, Jennie's turning twenty in just two days.

I pulled a drawer open under my desk and brought out a small, velvety red box.

I grinned like an idiot as I take out the ring, turning around as I stared at it with the window wall of my office that overlooks the whole city outside.

"Planning to settle down already?"

I almost dropped the ring in surprise. Momo chuckled at my reaction while I glared at her smug face, bringing back the ring safely in my box.

"You could at least knock," I leaned on the chair and crossed my arms, "And it's not an engagement ring. Just a couple ring."

"Let's facetime Jay once you get Jennie to wear that. I want to be there when he freaks out, thinking his little sister is getting married soon."

"He'd kill us both," I laughed.

She sat comfortably on one of the chairs in front of me, her eyes landing on the box again as her smile slowly softened.

"The child is in his mother's custody now," she mentions, bringing her leg over the other as she stares at me. She's talking about Jimin's kid, Lucas.

I nodded knowingly, "That's great. How's your cousin?"

"Doing fine. Surprisingly. I guess you two are finally getting past whatever you had before, huh?"

Shrugging, I played with my bottom lip while looking at nothingness, "About damn time. I fucked up a lot, Momo. I just can't let it get in the way between Jennie and I. Not anymore."

"I see that."

"I'm glad you do."

Honestly, it's a lot easier cutting ties with Mina because her cousin understands. I turn down any calls from Mina and ignores her messages, not that she sends a lot. I know she's fine under Momo's care. Momo helped assure me I'm doing the right thing too.

"Enough with the drama," she waved her hand dismissively in the air, grinning, "I need a wingman. Or woman."

I rolled my eyes, "I'm not going to a club with you. I'm working overtime until tomorrow because I plan on taking Jennie away for a short trip this weekend."

"Damn. You're already acting as if you're married," she chuckles, shaking her head, "I guess I'll just ask Hoony."

Hoony's my workmate who's just as wild as Momo when it comes to parties. No wonder they immediately hit it off when I introduced them. They literally go around every corner of the club and each ends up bringing home the hottest girl they see there.

She was just about to make her way out when I got a call from Jisoo.

"Hey, Jisoo-"

"Uh hi Lisa. Let's save the greetings for next time because right now I kinda need your help with Jennie," she was shouting on the other end of the line because of the noise.

"Why? What happened to her?" I quickly stood up and grabbed my coat and the ring box. I keep it with me everywhere I go. Mostly in my car.

Momo stood there in curiosity, following me as I went out the office when I mouthed Jennie's name to her.

"She's really drunk. Let me text you the address of the club we're at-"

"You're at a club?" my brows furrowed. What the fuck? "What club is that?"
