"Then tell him," Lisa faced her, eyes dark and serious. "Tell him, Jennie, maybe then we can make this right."

"So you really think it's still wrong to be with me, then?" a hint of irritation has shown with the way Jennie spoke and looked at her that Lisa knew better than to push her buttons further.

"No, of course not," Lisa squeezes her eyes shut, her head thrown back on the headboard. "I just hate lying to my bestfriend."

"He's my brother, don't you think I feel bad for keeping it a secret from him?" the younger girl scoffed.

Lisa opened her eyes at the same time Jennie's phone stopped ringing. Her eyes were instantly met with pained, cat-like eyes. It silenced her, knowing her words are hurting Jennie.

"Fine, I'll tell him right now. Just know that whatever his reaction may be, it wouldn't stop me from... from liking you," Jennie grabbed her phone harshly, looking away while slowly putting her feet down on the floor to stand when Lisa caught her arm.

They locked eyes, a million things running on their minds, a million reasons to be afraid.

Lisa swallowed thickly, her eyes deep in thought as she stared straight into Jennie's troubled ones, "I'm sorry. I don't want to force you to tell him alone, not like that, not right now. Come here, Jen," she said, lightly pulling Jennie back in bed.

Jennie stared at her for a second, not moving.

"Please," Lisa added.

The thin line on Jennie's lips melted down into a frown line, but obliged as she found herself in Lisa's warm arms from behind her, her back against Lisa's front, her phone back down on the sheets.

"I'm so sorry I kept messing up..." Lisa's hoarse voice from behind her neck sent shivers all the way down to her spine,"...since at the mall."

Mina's image flashed through Jennie's mind, making her tense up a bit, which Lisa felt, her toned arms tightening around Jennie.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Jennie asked, her voice so little. She's thankful she didn't have to stare at Lisa in the face, it distracts her enough now that she's sitting in between Lisa's bent legs.

"Only if you want to," Lisa murmured, "It surprised me you didn't bring it up and got... I don't know, outraged? Jealous?"

"I told you I'm mature enough for this," Jennie answered back with a bit of humor.

Lisa muffled a chuckle, "You keep making me fall for you harder, Kim."

Jennie's heart fluttered, but managed to keep her voice steady, "Good. But if I'm being honest..." she sighed.

"What is it, baby?"

Yeah, what is it again? Jennie feels like she's losing her mind whenever Lisa is being this sweet to her, as if the latter is doing it on purpose to make Jennie forget everything.

As much as she wanted to just savour this moment, she also wanted to connect with Lisa deeply through communicating her feelings.

"It's just that I was there the whole time you were... in love with her," she threw her head back on Lisa's shoulder, giving the latter an opportunity to stare right through her eyes, almost making Jennie regret it because now it's harder to pour her emotions when Lisa is looking at her this way.

"You were there when I started to stop loving her," Lisa murmured, brushing the strands of Jennie's hair away from her face.

"Did you, really?" that one came out of Jennie's mouth with her thinking much about it, not realizing it would make Lisa frown and grow even more serious that she detached herself from Jennie.
