So, I just discovered that whoever is writing on my reports wrote over my writing on my last one.

Today, I had my team gather in the meeting room at the station, and I had to question them extensively.

No one came forward, so now, I'm really annoyed.

But then again, there is the alternative, and that makes me shiver.

There's no way that John and Paul could have written that themselves, along with whatever the man that Paul mentioned in his diary is.

But, I know that it has to be one of my fellow investigators, because only me and they know the code to the safe that I store these in.

Whatever.

And, it wasn't until I read over the thick black text that was written over my last report that I realized that I ended it with my last name instead of Darin R.

I was pretty busy when I made that, but the inconsistency is just nagging at me.

Anyway, as to what I talked about on my last report, well, I think my mind's playing tricks on me.

Lately, I think I've been seeing something out of the corner of my eye whenever I'm alone.

I don't know exactly what I see. It's just a vague black shape that's gone in an instant.

Maybe all this work is getting to me. Who knows?

This case seems to be going cold too, and it is really a disappointment that we haven't got any sightings of John or Paul, or any other evidence other than the diary as to what could have happened to them.

That's all I have for now.

And, whoever is writing on my reports, please stop it. If it happens again, I will have a much tenser meeting and, if no one comes forward, I will remove the most likely person.

I can't afford to have all my reports tampered with.
