As soon as my bedroom door shut behind Amelia, I cautiously got up and got dressed. When the front door was shut, I grabbed my service gun, my phone and my keys and hurried out of my apartment. I watched Amelia drive away and I let her get a little advance before following her, even though I had a pretty good idea where she was headed. I called Hailey.

"Jay? Why are you calling so late?" She asked, sounding exactly like she was just waking up.

"You gotta get the team together and call me back then. Amelia's up to something and I think it's putting her in more danger than she thinks." I quickly explained, watching Amelia park on the side of the road. I parked a street back and watched her.

"Alright but Jay, wait for us before going in, okay?" She said, very much knowing I most probably wouldn't listen to her anyway.

"Yeah, yeah." I said dismissively. I was just about to hang up before she called my name again.

"Jay, I'm serious. I know you care about her but is she really worth you risking your life?" She tried to reason me but it only angered me.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I almost spat back at her, feeling bad right after.

"You've known her for a short time and I know you're sleeping with her... But if she hid whatever she's doing from you and played all of us for information behind your back, do you really think she cares about you as much as you do about her?"

I thought for a while, reminding myself of everything I've gone through with her, trying to find clues that all she was doing was playing me but nothing popped. I knew she cared about me as much as I did, it was written in all of our actions towards each other.

"It's none of your business." Was all I told her before hanging up the phone on her and jumping out of my car, it had been a while since Amelia had walked in. I slowly approached the building from the same door Amelia walked in from. I waited outside for five minutes, almost ten, to give the team a head start.

At one point I felt like I was waiting for nothing. They'd come in a few minutes anyway, I just wanted to hear and maybe even see what was going on. Just in case. I pushed everything Hailey had said to the back of my head and pushed the door open. I walked in with my gun raised in front of me, ready to fire at any moment. I heard voice coming from downstairs so I headed there, practically tiptoeing. I stopped when I was able to hear the conversation.

Amelia

"So what brings you here, beautiful?" He smirked at me, getting up with his arms crossed against his chest.

"Felt like we had some things to talk about is all." I shrugged, my gun still raised at him.

"Put the safety on, then we'll talk. Until then, I've got nothing to say to you." He told me, raising his hands up in the air.

"I'm good like that. Thanks." I fake smiled at him, breathing deeply.

"Do you see me raising my gun at you? No? Then why is your gun raised at me?" He asked as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Why is my gun raised at you? Want me to tell you why, huh?" I scoffed as I took a step forward. He nodded, smirking since he obviously knew what he did to deserve this. "You fucking raped me, you raped many other girls, you kept them to either sell them or their sexuality, you dealt drugs, you killed hundreds of people - innocent or not-" He cut me off.

"Including your little boyfriend, right?" He smirked again, laughing. "What a tragedy, right?"

I laughed, "Right." I ran at him and kicked him in his shin, then hitting his nose with my elbow. He grabbed my arm forcefully and pushed my backwards, making me drop my gun to the ground. I recovered quickly, ignoring my gun. I hit him in the stomach and then his side. Charles took a chance by hitting me on the jaw, which threw me off and made me fall on my arse. He took the opportunity to try and kick me in the stomach which I avoided by rolling on my side. I got up as quickly as I could, hitting him back square in the jaw, ignoring the throbbing pain in my fist. I kicked his knee, which made him fall backwards.

He ended up falling right next to my gun, quickly grabbing it before I could and pointing it at me.

"Oh, would you look at who's on the other side of the gun, again?" Charles mocked me, laughing as he coughed out a little blood.

"You destroyed my life. You made me suffer for half a year. Now I have nothing, you're gonna pay for what you did." I growled at him, quickly kicking my gun away from his hands. Which hurt him in the process, so I took the opportunity to kick his stomach and face multiple times. I hated fighting, always had. But when I looked at his face, it was all I wanted to do. All I felt in that moment was anger.

"This is for all those girls who suffered," I hit him in the ribs, "For all those people you killed," I kicked his stomach, then quickly leaned down to grab my gun, "For all you did to me or made your ass suckers do," I hit him in the jaw with my gun, "For Jay." I undid the safety on my gun pointing it right at his forehead, keeping him from moving.

My hands trembled slightly, only showing how much I wasn't sure I wanted to do this. But I needed to. At least, I was pretty sure I did. I needed to have him dead so I could heal and move on. How could I ever live peacefully on a earth where men like him got out of things like that alive? I couldn't. I needed revenge, for me and for Jay. The man who saved me from all of this, from myself. He deserved revenge, I wanted it for him.

My finger trembled against the trigger as I tried talking myself into shooting him.

"Uh, can't even fire a gun little girl?" He mocked me again, laughing and spluttering out blood. I hit his head again as he groaned in pain.

"Fuck you," I was just about to shoot when I heard the stairs behind me crack. I spun around quickly with my gun now raised at the person who stood there.
