God's POV

Voight walked back to the waiting room, noticing Amelia had left.

"Where is she?" He asked Atwater, since he knew he was next to her earlier.

"She left. Don't know where." Atwater shrugged, still confused by the young woman's acts.

"Alright. Listen up." Voight called, making his whole team looking at him. "When Jay wakes up, no one says a word about Amelia. He doesn't know and we're keeping it that way until I find out if she was lying or not." He informed everyone and continued when they all nodded, "We need her to testify anyway, so we've got to find her. I'll work alone up until Jay wakes up. You're free to stay or to go home. It was a stressful month for all of us." Hank finished his speech, nodding at his team and leaving the hospital after telling Will to call if he needed anything.

Upton and Burgess stayed behind for while, hoping Jay would wake up before they went home. Will walked back in the waiting room, heading directly for them.

"He's awake. Not well, but awake. I'm gonna go back in with him, but he has to rest so you can come back tomorrow to see him if you'd like." Will suggested, making the two women nod at him and hug him before leaving. Burgess headed back home, but Hailey made a turn and went to the district.

She buzzed herself into the Intelligence Unit, walking to her desk. As she sat down and got comfortable, Voight walked out of his office and went to Jay's desk to sit on it.

"What are you doing?" He asked her, looking at her tired face.

"Jay's awake." She said, opening up her computer, "Have you run her name through the system yet?" Hailey asked, already punching it in as Voight shook his head. He had been busy trying to make a solid case for each of the men they arrested today. He had to be quick before the court decided to free them for lack of proof.

Voight knew he couldn't afford one of them getting out because then both Jay and Amelia would be in danger. Their names weren't known to the gang, but their faces were and Voight was sure they would do anything not to forget them after today.

Trevor was already sent to jail since the CPD already had a pretty strong case against him. To add charges to his case, they'd need Amelia to testify and fill up papers against him to explain everything he did to her. Which would now be a lot more complicated since she feld with no way to find her.

"Oh my, Voight, take a look at this." Upton gasped, turning her screen slightly so he'd be able to take a look at it from where he was sitting. It showed Detective Amelia Davis' file.

"Son of a bitch." He answered, leaning backwards slightly, "She lied to us."

"Jay quit fucking moving." Will held him back by his shoulders as Jay groaned, pissed at his brother for not letting move around. "Lay down and let me help you." As Jay opened his mouth to talk, Will cut him off as he handed him a cup of water, "Shut up and heal."

Jay took the cup from his brothers hand and rolled his eyes. "Where's, uh, everyone anyway?" Jay asked, hesitating.

"Voight sent them back home, Burgess and Upton stayed but I updated them and sent them home because you need to rest." Will responded, purposely keeping out Amelia from the information.

"They'll come by tomorrow?" Jay asked, touched by his partner and Burgess staying until they knew he was awake. Will nodded and Jay nodded as well, swallowing hard. "And, uh, Ava?"

Will sighed, "Jay," He trailed off and Jay rolled his eyes, once again.

"What? Where is she?" He asked, slightly worried yet he knew she was fine because she rode with him in the ambulance.

"She left, about an hour before you woke up. Didn't say anything about where or why either."

"What? Didn't think she'd have anywhere to go. I don't get it." Jay asked, genuinely surprised that she just left like that, no details.

"I don't know, Jay. I think they're looking for her. They do need her to testify, after all." Will vaguely informed his brother, keeping out her supposed real identity. Jay nodded, slightly upset that it was the only reason why they were looking for her. They should be looking for her because she's a victim, because she needs help and support, not because they need her.

He hoped she was alright. The petite woman that had been through so many things that she didn't deserve. Jay had tried to keep her safe as much as he could yesterday and the whole month before. Yet, after ending up in a hospital bed, he couldn't help but feel like he had let her down. Jay thought he should've been by her side up until his team arrived so they could make the arrest together at the same time as helping Ava get away.

Voight had called everyone back to the office for an emergency meeting. They had to find her and they had to be quick. He thought about starting looking through the house she stayed at with Charles' gang, knowing she had been there for months. But they also had to call up District 11, where Detective Amelia Davis worked at six months ago. Then, they had to go to the apartment that was linked to the Detective's file. It was her boyfriend's apartment, but he would be able to tell them where the girl was.

Upton was upset to say the least. The girl, she had trusted her partner's life with, had straight up lied to them about her identity. Which screwed up their whole plan. How could they find a girl that had no real name now? All they had was Ava, no last name, nothing else to go with.

"We have to talk to Jay." Antonio reasoned as soon as the whole team was filled in, "Maybe he picked on something weird about her that would help us?"

"No, he'd just freak out and want to come back to work. He needs to heal." Voight refused to tell Jay anything about the girl he had saved.

"Either way, I think he deserves to know." Burgess fought back, "He tried hard to protect her and whatever happened between them made them close. I think there's things that he hasn't told us that could clear up this whole thing for us."

"I agree with Burgess, maybe she had a reason to lie. Maybe Jay even knew but won't tell until he knows she's out of the woods." Upton defended, she didn't want to believe that her partner got played like that. He was much smarter than that.

"Fine. We'll go to Jay. But we interview him as a suspect, not a partner. We need to get everything out of him, the whole story with her, before we tell him anything." Voight ordered. "Antonio and I will lead the interview. Upton, I don't want you in the room so Atwater will stay with you while you talk with Will and Manning. I think they already knew her before we came in with Jay, especially Manning." The Sergeant said, continuing, "Ruzek and Burgess, you'll go to the house. Search through her room until you find something, anything. Am I understood by each and every single one of you?" Every single detectives nodded and Voight told them to go to work, four of them heading straight to the hospital and the other two drove to the place where it all began.
