She stared blankly at her reflection in the mirror - standing wrapped in a white towel, her red locks wet. But she didn't pay attention to the water dripping from her hair - Meg focused on a huge bruise forming on her neck. A bruise left there by an abusive hand of her own brother.

"You okay in there?" a sudden question snapped her out of her thoughts. Margaret cleared her throat and looked at the wooden door.

"Yeah, I'll be right out" the redhead answered, quickly drying her body and hair.

"No need to hurry" Gus said as Meg was putting on some clothes. "But I gotta pee, so maybe hurry up a bit."

The girl chuckled and adjusted her T-shirt. She opened the door only to see Gustav standing with his back rested against the wall and a silly smile on his face.

"I'll be in your room" Margaret pointed her finger in the direction of Gus' bedroom.

"Sure."

She left the door slightly open and took a hairbrush out of her bag and started to untangle her hair. It was warm so it wouldn't take long for her locks to dry and she didn't want to bother Gus by asking for a hairdryer. As a matter of fact, Meg didn't want to bother anybody - she knew that, despite what Peep said about her not being a burden, her presence in the crib would be quite problematic.

"Wanna go downstairs?" the sudden question, caused Meg to jump. She realized that she zoned out once again.

"Yeah, but..." the girl was interrupted.

"It won't bother them that you're here. People are over all the time" Gus said, shrugging.

"Right." At that moment she felt stupid - of course they had people hanging around, she wasn't special or anything. They all were used to strangers in their house. Margaret plastered a slight, fake smile and looked up at Gus' face. "Let's go then."

Faint noises from the living room grew louder as Meg with Gustav right behind her were walking down the stairs. They entered the room, where Wicca, Tracy, Wiggy and Bexey were chilling in front of the TV.

"What yall watchin'?" Peep asked, throwing himself on the nearest armchair, while Meg just awkwardly stood at the door - unsure what do to with herself.

"The Purge" Wiggy answered, gently patting the couch, inviting Meg to sit next to him. And so she did, feeling actually welcome in the house by the smiley boy. The group focused on the movie, sometimes commenting on stuff they found funny or stupid. The time flew fast and in a blink of an eye the film was over.

"Aight, who's hungry? Let's order pizza or sum." Bexey got up from his armchair and looked around at the group. All of the guys gave the Brit some kind of a response, but Margaret just stayed silent, which didn't escape Gustav's attention.

"Meg?"

"Right, I'm not hungry, y'know" she awkwardly smiled with the corner of her mouth.

"Bullshit, you only had breakfast" Peep argued, causing the redhead to roll her eyes.

"Yeah, okay, I just don't like pizza but I'm actually not hungry" she shrugged, tucking her hair behind her ear. "I don't have any money with me anyway."

"Yeah, whatever, what do you like?" Gus asked, leaning towards the girl - propping his elbows on his thighs. "C'mon, girl, talk to me. French fries?"

The redhead nodded, with resignation.

"Chicken wings?"

Once again, a small nod.

"Great, so that's set" Peep smiled, proud that he was able to get some information from the girl, who suddenly got quite distant, compared to how she acted earlier.
