Peep couldn't understand why he felt so worried about Margaret - it's not like there was anything between them - but the thought that she might not be okay made him feel uneasy. When Gus got a text from her, after many unanswered calls, he was very much relieved. And since she asked whether he was home, Gustav assumed that Meg was about to come over.
He wasn't wrong, he was just a few steps behind Wiggy who beat him to the door when Meg arrived. She didn't see him at first, since she wasn't tall enough to see over Wiggy's shoulder. Gus could see a slight smile on the redhead's face but she looked a bit uncomfortable, but when she noticed Peep it seemed to mostly go away. Meggie quickly walked up to Gus and he embraced her in a hug. His face was hidden in her long hair as he inhaled the sweet smell of perfume mixed with weed.
"Hi," Margaret mumbled, her cheek pressed against his chest. Gus smiled at the sound of her voice - what the actual fuck was happening to him?
"Hey, you okay?" Peep asked quietly as Meg slowly parted away from his body. She nodded and shot him a faint smile, a quite convincing one. "Are you hungry? Emma brought us dinner."
"No, thanks, I stopped by at my house and had a meal with my brother." Lies. But she didn't feel hungry.
"Well, alright then, let's..."
"Peep! Get yo ass in here!" Tracy shouted from the kitchen, interrupting Gus, who just smiled and grabbed Meg by the wrist and pulled her right behind him into where everyone was.
"Hi, yall" Margaret smiled shyly, but her head was confidently held high. All of the crew - being Trace, Bexey, Emma, Coldy and Wicca - said back a hello. The fact that everyone seemed happy to see her, surprised Meg, but in a nice way.
"Are you hungry?" Emma asked, smiling widely at Margaret, who just replied with a simple 'no, thank you'. Wiggy handed her a cold beer, which she gladly accepted. After getting the bottle open she took a nice, big sip, enjoying the slightly bitter beverage. She was standing with the small of her back against the kitchen counter and Gus stood right next to her.
"Are you staying here?" he whispered into her ear, slouching down so that his lips nearly touched her skin. His breath send shivers down her spine and Meg just prayed that Gustav didn't notice.
"I was hoping I could" she admitted quietly, playing with her fingers.
"Sure you can, boo," something about that nickname just made her feel butterflies in her stomach," I changed my bed sheets so that we can sleep in my bed."
"Get a room, you two!" Tracy shouted, when he noticed Gus and Meg whispering back and forth. The redhead's cheeks glowed red at Trace's comment and Peep just laughed awkwardly. Everybody noticed that there was some kind of tension between the two, but then again no one actually knew what it was exactly - after all they didn't even know each other a week ago.
"Does anybody want to go out?" Wicca asked randomly, breaking the silence. Both Wigs and Coldy excitedly agreed at the same time while Bexey and Trace just nodded their heads.
"I was actually gonna head home, I've got some stuff to do" Emma said, putting her plate in the sink. Gus looked down at Meg's face and he noticed right away that she didn't exactly feel like partying at the moment.
"Aight, and you two?" Bex asked in his thick British accent , turning to face Peep.
"We'll stay behind" he answered before Meg even had a chance to open her mouth. She would've just agreed to going out so that she wasn't taking anyone's fun away, even though she would've hated each second of being in the club. "Maybe next time."
Nobody asked any questions, they all just left the kitchen to get ready to go out, leaving Meg and Peep with the dirty dishes.
"Let's clean it," the girl suggested noticing, that Gus was also looking at the mess. "I'll wash and you can wipe and put them away, okay?"
"Aye, don't even worry about it, boo. I'll sort it out" he assured but the redhead just shook her head and smiled lightly, already walking up to the sink. Gustav let out a sigh of defeat and just took a clean cloth from a cabinet. The job was done rather quickly and the kitchen looked so much better.
"Do you wanna go upstairs and watch a movie maybe?" Peep suggested, walking out of the kitchen right behind Meg.
"Sure," she shrugged and smiled, "but we're not watching a scary movie."
"You're no fun," he snickered, "but alright, I guess, we can make an exception this once..."
"Unbelievable," she giggled, "that's what you are! Unbelievable!" she laughed and yelped as Gus tickled her sides. Meg's reaction caused Peep to burst out laughing as he reached out to tickle her again. Seeing the threat Margaret decided to run for her life, with Gustav quickly following. She ran upstairs, both of them laughing loudly as they went, and finally falling through the door to Gus' bedroom. That's were Meg got caught and thrown onto the bed and then tickled mercilessly - her shrieking mixed with tears of laughter and attempts to kick the boy off of her. He was sitting on her, his weight stopping the redhead from going anywhere.
"Aight, truce?" Gus asked, pinning Meg's wrists down. He looked down and laughed slightly - her hair was a mess from the fighting and her cheeks were almost as red as her locks. It almost seemed like her face hypnotized Peep, his eyes were locked - he was admiring her beauty. He didn't even hear her agree to the truce he offered. His attention was drawn to her plump lips, something in his head telling him to just lean in and kiss her.
"Gus?" her voice snapped Peep out of his thoughts. "Is everything okay? You got quiet for a second..."
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine" he forced a smile, but Meg couldn't help but notice that something was off. She moved her wrist slightly, so that Gus would realize that he's still pinning her down to the bed.
Their current position left little to the imagination, and Margaret could feel her face get warmer and warmer as her mind wandered. Her eyes locked on Gus' face, his chocolate eyes fixed on her, his brows slightly furrowed - creating a small line in between them. The first time they met Meg knew that he was really handsome, but now that she had the opportunity to take a close look she realized how perfect his features were in her eyes - his tattoos showing his true self, his piercing nicely complimenting his straight nose, his deep brown eyes sparkling happily and his lips looking weirdly kissable. If only she knew that Gustav's thoughts were almost identical as hers.
She knew that she shouldn't kiss him, she knew that it would be wrong. She barely knew him! But the way he looked at her, the way he looked on top of her... How could she resist the urge of having his lips connected with hers? She couldn't.
"Screw it" Meg whispered, pulling Gus in by his T-shirt. Seeing that Margaret wanted it as bad as he did, he leaned in, their lips meeting in a heated kiss. There's no way this could end well... What the fuck were they doing?
