Relief

I hear a steady beep. Honestly it was kind of irritating. Beep, beep, beep. Over and over again it sounded.

Slowly I come back into consciousness, yet I don't really comprehend anything until my memories start to flood back into my mind. My heart starts to beat faster, and so does the beeping. It must be a heart monitor, I realize.

I sit up -probably way too fast since my head started to hurt- and look around. I'm in a small all white room -much bigger then my old one but not by a lot- with the only thing in here being me, the bed I'm lying on, and the cords and stuff that are attached to me. That beeping is a heart monitor, a few wires are taped on my arms and chest, and a needle sticking in my arm with a tube attached to that. Some sort of clear liquid was being pumped into me.

Growling, I pull the cords and wires off. If I move quickly enough, I might be able to escape again. Oh, who am I kidding, I won't be able to get out.

Might as well try. Cause either I'm going to die or get married to Kicker and I rather marry a toad them him. So, I quickly pull all of the wires and needle out of me. After I'm sure they are all off, I pull out the heart monitor, that's now having a continuous one note beep.

I shakily climb off the bed. I still had my dress on, but I didn't have my boots on. That made me feel the cold tiled floor.

Looking around, I notice my only exit is a single door on the far side of the room. As I head for it, a two-tailed fox came in. I didn't recognize him. Compared to most of the people in Mephiles' base, he was too brightly colored. He was a yellowish orangish color, and his eyes are a bright blue.

He saw me and gasped.

"You shouldn't be walking around yet!" he says, although he didn't make a single move to get me to lie down. Just staring at me, kinda like he was scared of me.

"Get out of my way," I growl at him as I move forward. I grab the closest thing for a weapon, the needle, and hold like a dagger. He turns on his heels and yells out the door.

"Sonic! She's awake!" he yells out into the hall. He looks back at me and adds "And she's pissed off too!"

I stop growling and advancing forward. Sonic? Why would he be in Mephiles' base. Unless he was caught. But then this fox wouldn't be yelling for him to come here.

Ugh! My head hurts now.

In a second flat, a blue hedgehog walks in. He smiles at me, before turning to the fox.

"It's ok buddy. She probably doesn't know where she is, that's all," he says to the fox, who nods.

Sonic then turns to me, "Are you alright?"

I look down as I drop the needle. "No," I whisper. "Why are you here in Mephiles' base?"

He laughs some. I look back up, and he has a dorky smile on his face. "If this was Mephiles' base, then we would be asking Tails a lot of questions..."

"Then... Where are we?" I ask. The fox raised one of his gloved hands.

"This would be my house. I'm Miles Prower, but everyone just calls me Tails for obvious reasons," he says. His nickname makes sense considering his tails.

"But what about last night?" I ask, cause now I'm completely confused.

"We found you," a voice says from behind Tails and Sonic. Standing there was the two hedgehogs that I remember seeing before I passed out.

The one that I thought was Mephiles did look like him, except instead of blue stripes, this black hedgehog had red stripes. And his eyes aren't Mephiles' evil green ones. His are a crimson color. Plus, he had gold rings on his wrists and ankles. He was wearing black shorts and black, gold and red shoes. On his hands are white gloves. His face was almost emotionless, but I could just barely see curiosity, maybe relief in his eyes.
