Luna's POV

"No. That man who died all those years ago was you're stepfather. I'm your real dad," Mephiles sighs.

I stared at him in shock, and I heard a few gasps from around the room. But I couldn't even gasp, all I could do is stare at him, desperately trying to see him lying.

His face was completely serious, and for a moment, I thought I saw a look of sadness in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared.

"No," I whisper, shaking my head. "You're lying!"

"I'm not lying," he replies simply, his expression still serious.

"But... but that doesn't make any sense at all!" I say shakily.

"Dr. Eggman can you pass me the folder," Mephiles turned and called over his shoulder. Eggman tossed him a large envelope. Mephiles caught it, and then turned and handed it to me. I cautiously took it, and he says quietly, "If you don't believe me, read the DNA test."

I felt everyone's eyes on me as I opened the envelope, and pulled out the single sheet of paper.

In the dim light, I scanned though all the computer check marks. But my eyes rested on the bottom which read, "Luna the Fox, Mephiles the Dark, 50% match."

I growled, "You could of just made this up on a computer and printed it!"

"Excuse me it took me a few hours to get those results," it was Dr. Eggman who replied. "That test is real."

I looked back at Mephiles, and took a step back. I couldn't believe it, but I knew it was true. I could just tell. And that just made me fear more.

I shook my head and looked down, whispering, "How?"

There was a pause before he answered, "That's a long story... but we have time to spare.

"It was about sixteen years ago when I had this crazy idea. I wanted a kid. The only problem was, I had no one to have a kid with, or at least, no one who was strong enough. I wanted my child to be powerful, and I needed someone who at least came close to my strength and power.

"So, my search began, and I was lucky to have stumbled upon your mom as quickly as I did. Sunny was weak, but she had so much hidden power inside of her. Power that she was hardly even aware of.

"I started to watch her, ever so closely, learning everything that I could about her. Things like she was getting married soon and how she and her fiancée were hoping for a child.

"Not too long before the wedding, I came out of hiding and tricked Sunny into thinking that I was her boyfriend. It was just a simple mind trick really. Anyway, I led her to her house and raped her," he chuckled darkly.

I stared at him, anger growing inside me till I was growling a little, but he continued on, "After that I erased her mind and left. But I would come to watch her when I had free time. I was there in the shadows, watching her life. I was there at her wedding, when she told her husband that she was pregnant, I was even there when you were born Luna.

"And I knew right away that you were my daughter. But to make sure that I hadn't failed, I took a DNA test when you were a baby, and it came out as positive as the one in your hands.

"I left for a few years, letting Sunny take care of all the annoying first years of life. When you turned three though, I wanted you back.

"I would of just took you, but that was too easy. No, I was going to have a little bit of fun with it. First, I was lucky enough that your step dad had died while I was stalking Sunny again. Once I knew that he was completely gone, I eased my way into both of your lives, eventually marrying Sunny. Amazingly, I didn't have to trick her or anything, she just fell in love with me, which made things easier.
