Luna's POV
When I woke up in the morning, I woke up determined. I have to tell my friends what's going on, before it's too late, because my mom was right. It didn't matter if I listen to Mephiles or not, people would still get hurt. And the only way to stop it was to fight it.
I looked around at the room I was in. It was a girl's room, but not like a girly girl kind of room. If this was Shadow's house, I'm figuring this is Star's room.
Besides my bed, was my crutches thankfully. Carefully, I climbed out of bed and put them under my arms like the doctor showed me.
But I didn't get far before I ran into someone sleeping on the floor under a blanket. Maybe it's Star? I thought.
I took one of my crutches, and poked her a little.
"Star? Is that you?" I ask. She jumps up, and I instantly recognize her.
"Yeah, it's me," she says getting up.
"Where you sleeping on the floor the entire night?" I ask with plenty of concern. She shouldn't have slept on the floor.
"Yeah, just to keep an eye on you though," she explains.
"You didn't have to do that-"
"I did anyway though," she smiles at me. "Besides, it was just for last night. Just so you could get used to living here first."
I smiled back, and then jumped, back to being serious, "I have to tell you and Shadow something really important."
Star gives me a questionable look and says, "Ah... sure. I think he might already be up. Did you want to have breakfast first?"
I shake my head. I needed to say it now, before I get distracted and get any second thoughts about telling them. She nods, and leads us out of the room.
We walk though the small hall, until we make it to the living room. Shadow was sitting on the couch, watching some tv. He looked up at us, and smirked.
"Well look who's finally getting up," he says.
Star rolls her eyes. "Stop messing around. Luna has something important that she needs to tell us."
Shadow stood up. A little bit of worry in his eyes, but you really couldn't tell it from his facial expression. "Are you ok?" he asked.
"I'm fine, nothing is wrong with me," reassured him. "But I am scared," then I admit. I honestly was scared.
"Here, let's sit down," Star says, and she helps me into a chair next to the couch. She sits down on the couch, and so does Shadow.
"What's bothering you," she asks. I sigh. How do I explain this.
"Well... um... just before I woke up... Mephiles talked to me," I start, and I look down. "He told me that if I didn't start to give him the Chaos Emeralds six days from now, he would start to... hunt all of my new friends down and make everyone of you go through living hell, take me back, and kill Matrix. He promised me that if I did it, he wouldn't hurt anyone and he would let Matrix go."
I gingerly look back up. Star and Shadow were looking at me shocked.
"I told him that I would do it. And now I'm afraid if Mephiles will get mad when he realizes that I've told you guys. He never told me not to, but still..." I trail off.
I look back down again. "I don't want anyone to get hurt."
Slowly tears start to fall down my face, and a set of arms wraps around me. They were Star's.
