Welcome to my Hell

~Ten years later~

"Luna! Get in here now!" a voice booms from the other room. I cringe, but do as I'm told and go in there as fast as my legs could carry me, leaving the moonlight behind me.

I'm a black fox, with short silver hair that was always cut much to my disliking. My eyes are a icy blue, popping out like stars do on the night's sky. On my feet are my busted up black boots, and I was also wearing my sleeveless, pitch black dress. This was my only clothing in the world so of course it reeked and was tattered. Around my neck was my only piece of jewelry that I ever owned. It was a black choker necklace, dotted with little jewels. In the center was a stone shaped like the moon.

Quickly, I make it into the room, where a black hedgehog with blue strips and evil green eyes stood behind a desk. This hedgehog was my step-dad, Mephiles.

I hated his guts ever since the night he killed my mom in front of me, about ten years ago. The year before that, he was the nicest guy that I knew. Then, he showed us his darker side.

He growled at me, and I quickly curtsy. Crap, I'm going to get my ass chewed out.

"Much better," he says as he stops his growling. This was his office, where he usually sat and plotted things. It scared me, mostly due to the fact that there's plenty of skulls on the walls from his innocent victims. The atmostsphere was really dark, and there was hardly any light in here at all.

"What do you need, dad," I say, even though I hated it. I wasn't allowed to call him anything else but daddy or dad. Anything else meant punishment.

"Why weren't you in your room?" he asks.

"I was just sitting on the balcony," I whisper, putting my head down.

"Look at me when we're talking," he snaps, and I shoot my head back up. "What have I told you about sitting out in the moonlight?"

"That I am never to do it, no matter what," I say, and he nods.

"Exactly. Now go to you're room," he dismisses me, and I curtsy before I quickly leave the room and walk fast down the halls.

I hope he liked my little performance. If he didn't, it meant no food tonight, and probably none tomorrow morning either. My stomach growled at the thought, but I didn't care about it.

After a few minuets of navigating through the halls, I finally reached my broom closet. My only home in the world.

I open the door and quickly rush inside, turning the light on as I do. The single light bulb from the small cord attracted to the ceiling gave me just enough light to see what I was doing.

I lied about not having any other clothes. Reaching under my pillow I pull out the polka-dotted nightgown that I had made and quickly change into it. Not too long ago, someone was about to throw away a curtain because Mephiles didn't like it, so I took it and was able to make some sort of dress. Mephiles let me keep it thankfully. I really didn't want to wear my clothes to bed and I really didn't want to sleep naked with all the perverts around here.

It happens usually twice a week, where one of the guards would pass by and beat me up.

Anyway, I was hoping tonight I would just be left alone. I would still get random beatings in the night for no apparent reason, but last night I had one so I figured there wasn't one coming.

A knock suddenly came from the door and I jumped. Thankfully I was all changed, but still it scared me. Please don't let it be one of the guards...

Without my say so, the maid Matrix came in. I'm pretty sure she's the only other good female in this hell hole. She was very pretty too. She's a magenta crocodile with with innocent looking green eyes always had a hint of a smile in them, even if the situation may seem hopeless.
