I'm running my mouth. I'm going to be in so much trouble later but I can't stop it. I keep making stupid jokes at Kris' expense. Sara keeps giving me looks. We decided to stay in tonight. Sara broke out a bottle of wine about an hour ago so we've all been drinking that. We've been playing cards and just hanging out all night. Right now, we're playing bullshit.
"I've got two 4's." Sara said as she put down the cards. She moved her right shoulder just a tad.
"Bullshit!" I yelled. Sara rolled her eyes and smiled. She picked up the pile of cards and put them in her hand.
"You're such a bad liar." I laughed, and so did everyone else.
"You're the only one who can tell." Alex shot back.
"Alright, alright who's next." Sara laughed.
"Me. I have one 5." Kris laughed. I gave Callie a look and she knew what I was thinking.
"Bullshit." Callie said. Kris laughed and pulled the card back.
"Avery always knows when you guys are lying." Callie laughed.
"It's only because Kris lied to me so much." Another look from Sara.
"Okay my turn. I have two 6's." I put the cards down on the table, and looked around at everyone.
"Someone call it. I dare you." I challenged. No one accepted though. Callie put her cards down and we continued. When it was Kris' turn again she put the cards down. I saw her eyebrows scrunch up just a little bit. She wasn't bsing.
"Good job Kris. You didn't bullshit you finally told the truth." Kris gave me a dirty look, I cocked my eyebrow and smiled. I looked back at Sara who was giving me an even dirtier look than Kris. I'm in trouble. Oh well. I took another drink out of my wine.
"You're turn Cal." Alex said after she put down her cards. I don't know what she put down or even when she did because I was looking at Sara. Cal put down her cards. Sara called her out, but Cal wasn't lying. Sara had to pick up the whole deck. It was her turn next but she was trying to look through all the cards. It was funny.
"Hold on guys I'm still looking. I have the whole deck." Sara laughed.
"Take your time babe." I smiled. Sara gave me a look that I couldn't quite read.
"Okay I found it. I have 3 queens." Sara laughed. Kris was next. I have 2 kings and I know that the other two are in Sara's hands because someone else put them down a couple rounds ago.
"I know you don't have the cards, so don't bother, just like you didn't bother with me." Kris took a breath then said
"I'm going to the bathroom." I watched her get up and leave. When I looked back at the rest of them they were all giving me weird looks, but the one Sara was giving me was terrifying.
"Avery come with me. Now." Full name. I'm in trouble. I got up and then looked at the other two
"Was it something I said?" I chuckled. I followed Sara out into the hall.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I just stared at her. She's really mad. I haven't seen her like this in a long time.
"I was just kidding."
"No, you weren't. You were doing it on purpose and you were being a bitch."
"What do you care? You can't stand her."
"I can't stand what she did. But that doesn't mean I'm going to belittle her in front of everyone and embarrass her to the point that she can't even be in the room!" I stayed quiet. I knew she was right, but I was angry. At what I couldn't pinpoint but I knew that I was pissed.
