When we walked into Presley's it was already getting dark. We went up the stairs and I knocked on the door. Presley opened it and smiled.
"Hey Ave" she smiled as she hugged me. Why do girls always want to hug me? When she pulled back Callie gave me a stupid little smile. I rolled my eyes and walked in. I just want to see Sara. I didn't even bother introducing Callie, she's a big girl. I made a V-line for Sara who was sitting on the couch listening to Alex talk about something. I went around the back of the couch and wrapped my arms around Sara's neck. Alex just smiled at me as I kissed Sara on the cheek.
"Hey baby did you just get here?" They hadn't been drinking.
"Yeah, just walked in." I jumped over the couch and sat down next to Sara. My hair was still a bit wet and Sara's response was to run her fingers through it and push it back. I was back in my regular clothes which was jeans, a black and white baseball T-shirt and black and white converse.
"Where's Callie?"
"I don't know. I saw you and I came over here."
"You're such a dick." Sara gave me a look as Callie came over to the couch.
"Found her." Sara was still giving me a look.
"Hey guys." Callie said as she sat down.
"Callie this is Alex. Alex this is Callie. She plays basketball with Ave." Alex extended her hand and said 'hi'. Sara, Callie and I were sitting on the couch and I was in the middle. There were two chairs opposite the couch and Alex was sitting on one. Eric and Presley came over and sat down. Presley on the chair and Eric on the floor. We were all sitting around talking about different stuff. Sara had her legs on me and she was playing with my hair. I kept telling Sara little jokes and things in her ear as the rest of them talked. As we were all talking Callie leaned over to me and whispered in my ear
"Hey I was promised food." I gave her an agreeing look and leaned over to Sara and said
"Hey is there anything to eat? We're hungry."
"Yeah there's some pizza in the kitchen. Want me to get you a plate?"
"No, we can get it." I leaned over and kissed Sara on the forehead. She moved her legs and Callie and I got up and went to the kitchen.
"Are you really friends with these people?" That's a weird question.
"I mean I guess. I don't know them that well but they're Sara's friends so I'll hang out with them. They're kind of cool once you get to know them." Callie nodded her head and we scarfed down some pizza real quick. When we got back to the living room Sara and the group were laughing about something. Callie and I sat down in our same places and listened in to the conversation.
"I swear to god I punched her." Sara laughed.
"You're such a badass." Eric laughed.
"But nothing tops when Avery got in a fight during one of our games. She totally kicked the shit out of this girl."
"You did what?" Callie questioned. I laughed remembering how Mack went down and then how I kicked the crap out of her.
"Uh yeah I did. She was a bitch and she hurt my baby so I tackled her and I got a couple good hits in. She busted my lip, but I'm pretty sure I broke her nose because it never looked the same after the fight." By now everyone was laughing. Sara wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me on the lips. I heard some clapping and some whistles but I was focused on Sara. When we pulled back everyone was looking at us. I looked at Sara and smiled. Her honey brown eyes were staring into mine. I ran my thumb over her scarred eyebrow and kissed her on the forehead.
"Sara how'd you get that scar?" This came from Alex. She had been quietly listening to the conversation all night.
"Ave what was the story we came up with?" I smiled and shook my head.
"So, there we were in Africa. Sara was being a tree hugger while I was off taking photos. Sara wandered off on her own into the forest to hug some more trees when all of a sudden, this wild tiger came out of nowhere and Sara dodged it and started to run. The tiger was still on her when she grabbed a vine and swung up causing the tiger to run into a tree. As she was running back to me she tripped and cut her eyebrow on a branch on the way down." As I told our bullshit story I used a lot of hand gestures and by the time I was done everyone was laughing their asses off.
"I was in a car accident last year." Sara said after we all calmed down again. It got sort of serious for a second but then Presley said something stupid and they changed the subject.
We stayed at Presley's until 1 in the morning. We were all talking and laughing and just having a chill night, that was until Presley got a text about a party going on. I wanted to roll my eyes. Everyone was already getting up to go and we were already talking about who's car we'd take. Callie was all set for it too. While everyone was getting their stuff, Sara pulled me into one of the bedrooms.
"Do you want to go?" she asked
"Yeah sounds fun." I was trying to sound enthusiastic about it.
"Okay now tell me the truth." She popped her hip out and put her hand on it.
"I don't really want to but I know you want to go so we can."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, plus when you get a little drunk we have really great sex." I smiled as I pulled her into me. She put her lips on mine and ran her hand under my shirt. Her hands sent chills down my spine.
"Maybe we could just stay here." Sara mumbled against my lips.
"Don't tempt me."
----------------------------------
Two hours later and we're at another stupid frat party with Sara's little group and a bunch of other girls from my team. Sara had already had a couple of drinks, no rum through. I made sure of that. We were all in the living room of the house that was a makeshift dancefloor. Sara was grinding on me and dancing and being so sexy. She had her back to me and her ass was grinding on my pelvis. She turned around and wrapped her arms around my neck and started to kiss my neck. God, I love her. After a while Sara's cup was empty so she and Eric went to the kitchen to get another one. Eric was the one who makes everyone drinks. Apparently, they're amazing. Alex, Presley and I were sitting around watching everyone else when a drunk Callie came up to me.
"Averyyyyy come dance with me." Before I could say anything, Callie was pulling my hand and dragging me onto the dancefloor. I awkwardly stood there as Callie started to dance on me. I looked around the dancefloor and wondered where the hell Sara was. Callie grabbed my hands and started moving our arms around in a weird dance sort of way. She stepped closer to me and her face started getting a little too close to mine. I pulled back.
"I uh I have to find Sara." I ran out of the living room and into the kitchen. I was wading through people trying to find my girlfriend. I found Sara next to Eric watching him pour her drink. I pulled her belt loop and pulled her to me. I put my lips on hers and then I felt her tongue in my mouth. I was trying to get that little 'moment' with Callie out of my head. What even was that?
"Babe can we get out of here?" I asked. Its already 3 in the morning and Sara's already getting sleepy. I can tell because of the way she's looking at me.
"Yeah I wanna go home already." I nodded and grabbed Sara's hand and led her out. When we passed through the living room I saw Presley and Alex talking. I know they saw what happened. Callie was nowhere to be seen. Sara and I walked out the door and to the car. I just want to get home.
