"Sara please don't do this." I was on my knees holding onto her for dear life. I couldn't see her face but from her voice I knew that tears were falling from her honey brown eyes.

"What did you think would happen Avery? Did you really think we could just go back to normal?" She gently pushed me off of her. She wouldn't look at me. I stood up and watched her turn around and walked out. I was expecting a loud thud that came with the door slamming, I was waiting for it, hoping for it, praying for it, but it never came. She didn't slam the door. She didn't make a sound as she left.

                                                                        =======================

"Hey don't drop that." Sara yelled at me from the kitchen. As dramatically as I possibly could I put the box down on the ground and backed away from it with my hands in the air.

"You are such a dork." She laughed as I walked out of the apartment and into the hall where the rest of her boxes were.

"You love me though." I screamed from the hallway. I had already moved all my things into the apartment last week, but since Sara had been out of town for the past 2 weeks with her parents she was barely moving in today, a week before our classes started. I picked up another box and brought it back into the apartment. We both had our own rooms but I doubt we'd be using both of them though.

After about four hours of moving boxes and unpacking we finally sat down on the couch in our apartment. We didn't have a tv yet so we set my laptop on the table and I put on a movie. I still don't know how we convinced our parents to let us have an apartment instead of living in the dorms. Dumb luck I guess. As I sat on our used couch that her parents had given us I couldn't help but feel completely whole. I remember sitting on this couch crying, hoping and praying Sara would forgive me. I don't know where I'd be if she hadn't. With Sara in my arms nothing could go wrong. Tomorrow I have basketball try outs; Sara said she doesn't want to play. Ever since the accident her shoulder has been giving her problems even after all the physical therapy. She doesn't want to do anything to hurt it even more and I don't blame her. Every time it rains she's barely able move it. It made me sad to know she wouldn't even be trying out with me but I didn't want her to hurt herself either. I love her.

As usual Sara fell asleep ten minutes into the movie. She was asleep on my arm but she looked so peaceful that I didn't want to wake her. I kissed her on the forehead, closed my eyes and listened to her breathe. I want to spend every night like this.

                                                                   ------------------------------------

"Sara where the hell is my history book?" I screamed from my room.

"I don't know. Did you leave it in your basketball bag?" She yelled back.

We are two weeks into college life and honestly, it's a pain in the ass. I have five classes. Two on Monday and Wednesday and two on Tuesday and Thursday and one on Friday. I already have four assignments due next week on Monday and basketball has been killing me. After the first day of try outs my body was aching all over. I was used to Braddocks workouts, but college is a whole different ball game. Sara had to ice my ankle and then almost all of my body. We ended up buying a bunch of bags of ice from the corner store nearby and made a make shift ice bath in the bathroom.

I ran back to my room and practically dove for my basketball bag. I pulled open the zipper and dug through it. At the bottom of the bag was my stupid history book. How the hell did it even get in there? I pulled it out and then shoved it back into my other back pack. I ran back to the kitchen and grabbed the piece of toast Sara had made me. I was already going to walk out the door when Sara stopped me.

"Don't forget there's that party tonight." I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around to face her.

"Do we have to?" I whined

"Yes. I already told you that as soon as you want to leave we can. But I want to go to check it out. A lot of my friends from photography class are going to be there." I looked down at my piece of toast.

"Okay yes we can go. I'll come home after practice and I'll meet you here." Sara gave me one of her famous little smirks.

"This is why I love you Ave."

"Well I hope it's not the only reason." I shot back. Sara kissed me then sent me out the door. I looked down at my watch. 10:49. I have 11 minutes to get to campus and be in my seat. It doesn't take me more than 5 minutes to get to class, but then I have to get to my class after I find a parking space, it's a process. My teacher is a total hard ass too and he'll be pissed if I show up late... Again.

                                                                  ----------------------------------------

"Late again Ms. Atkinson." I had walked in 2 minutes late because I got caught at a red light. I was late the first week of class because Sara uh well she made me lose track of time, needless to say it wasn't a great introduction.

"I'm sorry Mr. Kane. I'll be on time next Friday." Mr. Kane gave me a condescending look and then turned his attention back to his desk. He then started to call us out by our last names to take attendance. I sat down in my seat and tried to hide my embarrassment from being called out in front of the entire class. God this guy's such a dick. I looked around the room still somewhat anxious and made eye contact with one of the girls that's been showing up to practice. I don't remember her name. I looked back at Mr. Kane as he started to lecture. He looked at me over his glasses as I took my book and notebook out, I gave him a grimacing smile until he went back to lecturing. This was going to be a long semester.
