Next Day

I walked into the living room, ready to tell the kids some great news. Well, I'm hoping it's great news to them. The news is that I will be taking them shopping for some new clothes at Paradise Mall. I read online that's it's supposed to be one of the biggest malls in the area. Mrs. Dong wanted me to take them there for some new clothes.

It is officially the start of summer for them. Plus it's a Saturday. It just makes sense to go today.

"Kids, I have some great news..." I said, standing in front of them as they sat on the couch.

Lu chuckled. "You're leaving?" he asked, keeping his eyes on his iPad.

"No..." I said, awkwardly. "We're going shopping today at Paradise Mall!"

I clapped my hands repeatedly but no one else seemed excited like I was.

Lu puts his iPad down and stared at me. "Why?" he asked.

"Because it's officially the start of summer! Yesterday was the last day of school and now it's time to get some new clothes for the sun! So let's go to the mall!"

Yesterday was the kids' last day of school but it was my first official day of work. Everything went different than what I wanted to happen. Lu hates me, May reminds me of my daughter, and Winwin is the father of my daughter who I also kissed yesterday. It's so sideways and I don't know what to do.

Also, I keep mentioning Winwin being the father because WINWIN IS THE FATHER! What do I do?! The odds of finding him here are so bizarre and such bad timing.

"I don't like the outdoors, " Lu said, rolling his eyes before going back to his iPad.

"You got a whole field and pool!" I shout. "A lot of people would kill for that."

"Well have them kill me because I'm not going," Lu chuckled.

I don't know why he's like that! He just makes me so mad that he doesn't appreciate what he has. Maybe a certain someone can help me...

I look at Winwin and pout. "Winwin... can you please help me?" I said in a soft, baby voice while rapidly blinking my eyes.

Winwin looks at me and sighs. "Okay." He then taped on Lu's shoulder and said, "Lu if I let you buy that stupid block set, will you please go to Paradise mall with us?"

Lu smirks like the devil he is and said, "Deal." He then ran upstairs.

Middle schoolers, man.

"Nice job." I pat Winwins arm before squirting sunscreen on my hand. "You need to take care of that face," I said now applying it on his face.

"Because I'm good-looking or because you're worried about my well-being?" Winwin asked as he made a weird face.

"First one." I poured some more on my hands and applied it to his arms. "People have to see me around a good-looking guy," I joked.
