Two Days Later

Today is Friday which marks exactly a week since I've been working here. Not including the day I arrived. Why does it seem like a whole year though? So much has happened in just a week that I feel so overwhelmed with different emotions. I truly need some time to myself but I never have enough of it.

I sat next to Lu on the couch. Didn't see him or his siblings at all yesterday because they went over to their cousins. He was playing some kind of game on his phone. I casually grab a magazine from the coffee table, preparing myself to say something to him.

"Hey, Lu!"

"Hi..." Lu said back, handing me a disturbed look.

"What are you playing?" I ask, looking over his shoulder.

"A game..." Lu said, pulling his phone away from me. "What's up with you today?"

"I'm feeling a bit homesick. It's been a whole week since I've been working here if you didn't already know. Shoot, I'm getting too personal, sorry."

"It's whatever. Future therapist, remember?" Lu shrugged. "Anyways, what was all that nonsense from the other day involving my mother, Winwin, Chaeun, and you on Wednesday? I couldn't ask you yesterday because I went over to my cousins," he said.

I flip to the first pages of the magazine and said, "Just a minor inconvenience."

Lu sighs. "There you go not telling me anything again..." he mumbled.

"I'm telling you the truth," I chuckled.

Lu turned away.
"Fine, don't tell me."

"Lu," I poke his arm but he didn't budge. "Luuuuu," I start tickling him and he started squirming around.

"Stop!" Lu laughs. "It tickles!"

"Are you still mad at me?" I ask, smiling. "We can be over with this if you tell me you aren't mad at me anymore."

Lu smiles. "I'm... still mad!"

He then got up and starts running. I being the adult started chasing after him. Did I say... adult? I meant an immature adult. We start running in circles while I realized I am not fit to be doing something like this.

"I won't stop, Lu! Mwhaha!" I shout as I chased him around the couch.

"I see you two are getting along..." Winwin said, appearing from the living room entrance.
