Chapter 29 - King For A Day

*Anna's Pov*

"Hello?" I said groggily, squinting my eyes in the dark to see what time it was on my phone.

"Anna! Is it true!" Austin snapped.

"Is what true?" I asked, sitting up.

"That you're fucking pregnant?" Austin growled.

I got up, and opened the bus door. I got out and walked around the parking lot, keeping close to the bus.

"Yes." I sighed.

"I knew it was a mistake letting you date that, that-"

"That what Austin." I snapped.

"That monster!" He yelled.

"He's not a monster!" I yelled back.

"My baby sister is pregnant because of him! You're only 21! You're throwing your whole life away!" He yelled.

"Austin, it's 3 in the morning why are you yelling at me like this!" I cried.

"Because you're ruining your life with him!" He slurred.

Suddenly I knew what was going on.

"Austin.. Have you been drinking.." I choked.

He was dead silent.

"Why.. You promised me you wouldn't.." I said, as I sat on the ground.

"Anna, I called Kellin to see how he was doing and ever since you told him that he's been depressed. I don't know what's wrong with him." He said, pausing for a moment.

"He told me, and I was so upset that I actually started to cry.
My baby sister is going to throw her life away all for a man that doesn't know how to use protection. Anna after we lost mom you're basically all I have left, and I can't handle seeing you grow up." He said, in a calmer tone.

"Austin I know, but I really think this is going to be a good thing for all of us.." I said quietly.

"How Anna! You're going to be carrying so many responsibilities and you can't even take care of yourself! What if you and him break up? Where are you going to go? What job do you have to fall back on. When your tour is over, you're moving back in with me, that way when the baby is born it doesn't have to be around your alcoholic boyfriend." He snapped.

I pulled my phone away from my face, and a tear dripped off my cheek. I tried to pull myself together but failed.

"Austin I need to go." I said as I hung up and started to cry my eyes out.

I got up and turned around quickly. I slammed into someone and fell back on the ground.

It was so dark I couldn't see anything.

"Anna oh my god are you okay?" I heard a familiar voice ask, frantically trying to help me up.

I looked up, and saw the faint shimmer of Chris's blue eyes.

"Chris you scared the shit out if me.." I said cupping my face in my hands.

"I'm so sorry.. I heard you yelling and I came outside to make sure you're okay.." He said, hugging me.

"I'm not okay.." I said burying my face into his shoulder as warm tears streaked down my face.

"What's wrong hun.." He asked.

"Austin.. He found out I'm pregnant before I could tell him.. He's drunk and he freaked out on me. He's making me move back in with him when he finishes his tour.." I cried.
