Chapter 38 - Middle Fingers Up

*David's Pov*

As I walked towards the balcony, I heard a conversation between Anna and Fronz.

As I got closer, I saw fronz get down on the ground.

"Anna, will you marry me?" He said.

I stopped dead in my tracks.

They where silent for a moment.

I heard Anna start to cry.

"Why are you crying?" He asked.

"Because I want to say yes more than anything, but I just physically can't.. You hurt me so bad.." She sobbed.

"I'll make it up to you.. I promise.. Please.. Marry me and I'll make you my princess again, and treat you like royalty baby.." He pleaded.

She was silent.

"Anna, I'm so sorry for everything that happened.. Please forgive me, I need you in my life.." He said.

"That's all I wanted to hear.." She said, hugging him.

"So is that a yes?" He asked.

"Yes." She smiled.

I dropped her card in the puddle on the driveway and walked back to my car.

*Anna's Pov*
I helped Fronz down the ladder and walked him to his car on the next road over.

"Can you take you out later after Austin goes to sleep?" He asked me.

"Yeah, he goes to bed at like 10, so I'll meet you outside at the cafe over there at 10:30." I smiled.

"See you soon!" he said kissing me on the cheek.

I ran back to Austin's house.
On my way in, I saw a card floating in a puddle. I picked it up and shook it off.

I put it in my coat pocket and climbed the ladder.

When I got back up on the balcony I went into my room, to find Austin standing there with his arms crossed.

"And where were you?" He growled.

"I took a walk?" I lied.

"To where?" He questioned.

"The park." I said.

"Why?" Austin asked.

"Austin stop acting like this, I'm 21 years old and I'm not your baby sister anymore. Stop treating me like a fucking child!" I yelled, pushing him.

"You don't get treated like an adult until you act like one!" He said shoving me back.

I feel back, and slipped on a sweatshirt on the floor. I fell to the ground and my back cracked, causing a shooting pain to fly up my spine.

"Don't you dare out your hands on me." He said.

"What the hell is wrong with you! Mom would never do something like this to me!" I cried.

"Yeah well I'm not mom!" He yelled.

"Yes clearly!" I said sarcastically, with a bitchy tone.

Austin looked at me with fire in his eyes after I said that.

"You know what Anna. I tried to help you fix your fucked life and help you get on the right path but I don't care anymore. I'm done with your bullshit." He said, slamming the door.

"Thanks for fucking it up even worse!" I yelled back.

I was still on floor, I curled up in a ball and started crying.

Literally everyone in my life treats me like shit.

I reached Into my pocket and pulled out the card.

It was addressed to me..

I opened it and read it.

"Wishing you a merry Christmas Anna, I hope it's a good one! <3

-David"

Oh my god..

"He must have seen everything.." I sighed.

I checked my phone to see a text from fronz.

"Anna,
I'm so happy you said yes., honestly. I missed you baby."

I smiled, faintly.

I tried to get off the floor, but my back hurt too bad from Austin shoving me.

I laid on the floor and texted him back.

"I'm glad I did too! We can finally have our perfect little family." I wrote.

I put my phone down and tried to get up again.

I stumbled up and sat on my bed for a minute.

I stood up once I regained my strength and I walked to the door. I opened it, and over heard Austin talking on the phone.

"Yeah, can you come get her?" Austin asked.

He paused for a minute.

"Okay, thanks for taking her, I can't take it anymore."

He hung up and started to walk down the hall. I slipped back in my room and thought to myself.

What could he be talking about? And who's coming to get me..
