Story:

It's not every day that a person's life is changed forever just by making one monumental choice in some point of their lives. Mine did when I was 22.

My buddy and I did this ritual that he found on the internet and he thought it'd be fun to play around with it for a bit. Little did we know that we meddled with some dark forces that were way above our own understanding and there was nothing we could do about it.

I won't lie. Once the money started flowing in, I made some drastic and sketchy investments that turned out to be overwhelmingly beneficial, which in reality, I had no clue whatsoever on what I spent my money on. But it paid back.

A lot.

"Would you be needing anything else Sir Calvin?" Brent – my trusted friend and butler – placed the mimosa on the table beside the pool chair.

"I'm good. Thank you." I said as I walked to the edge of my top floor overlooking view of the mountain range pool area in my mansion. I always liked the idea of having glass barriers to serve as the wall from the outside of my pool area, so I could watch the stunning view as I dip into the pool.

I embraced the cool wind grazing upon my skin, gently enticing me to grab a coat from my fifth walk-in closet as I near the edge of this floor. I loved gazing into the mountains as they eat my thoughts, getting lost into the trees like I'm going through a maze, the clouds wave into a series of cirrus' waiting to disperse into neat unfair portions and the lake beneath them ever so calming my nerves and my eyes.

This place is my favorite place in this mansion. Perhaps it's the only good thing in my life right now. Don't get me wrong, when I first started getting the money, I revisited all my unsettled teen angst and channelled it into doing things that I wanted to do – or rather reckless things that I wanted to do.

Partying every night, travelling to famous cities around the world, ordering whatever food I wanted for room service because I can, going home with pretty girls and leaving them the next day. I tell you man, that was the life, but there was this gaping hole inside of me that doesn't seem to be filling up. It's like the more I do those things, the bigger the hole gets and it was driving me insane.

So a year after the death of my parents, I settled down, built several companies, made this mansion, bought some more fancy stuff and... the hole stopped getting bigger, but I still couldn't fill it. I tried looking for love but, I was always the one being left.

I blame the ritual that my buddy and I did for making me this miserable, more importantly I blame myself for going through with it. If we didn't go through with it, my buddy would still be here with me today, but instead he gave up his life for the life I have. I didn't realize it until later but, everything came true from the ritual that we did. The mansion, the job, the love life, the family, all of it!

To whoever sees this and finds the ritual called M.A.S.H., don't do it. Take control of your life. Don't let anyone or anything else control it for you.
