At first all he saw was pitch black darkness swirling around forming all kinds of ridiculous shapes. He heard distant voices but couldn't make sense of their conversations. Then light slowly began to seep through and a small window of color began to form. He saw human-like figures in fact a whole crowd of them. And two of them arguing? He wasn't sure. Slowly his vision and consciousness returned and when he opened his eyes he found himself hanging meters above the ground in an apparently dark room.
Suddenly the light came on revealing the Diamonds and a company of gems. He tried to move but his wrists wouldn't work. He looked up and discovered that his hands were chained together. "Welcome one and all to The Judgement." White Diamond proclaimed. The JUDGEMENT!?! Steven struggled to get loose but in vain. "It's been told that you have committed a great sin: YOU have killed a home world gem!" White Diamond pointed at the hybrid. The gems roared in agreement. "What? Th-that's not true!" he cried in defense. "You believe that we are lying?!? Then we have a witness." Yellow snapped her fingers and the curtains pulled away to reveal....
"Aquamarine! I should of known." he glared at her. "Aquamarine, did Steven Quartz Universe shatter you?" Blue asked her. "Yes, he did." she replied with a toss of her hair glaring at the boy. "SHE'S A LIAR!" he screamed. The crowd started to chant for his blood. "Kill him! Kill him!" He looked at the Diamonds. "You don't believe her, don't you?" he pleaded with tears rimming his eyes. "White, Yellow, Steven would never-" "SILENCE! I knew that he would be trouble from day one." Yellow narrowed her eyes at him. "Sorry Blue but the evidence is stacked against him. We're sorry." White tried to apologize. "Eyeball, remove his gem and destroy it!" White commanded. Eyeball?!? He couldn't believe it. She approached him, blade in hand. The crowd cheered. As it approached his core, her hand began to quiver and shake. Then she whipped around at the Diamonds. "He's not responsible for her shattering." The other rubies gasped. "How dare you!" Aquamarine gasped in shock. She flew forward but Blue stopped her. "We are the Diamonds and you will obey us." Yellow glared at her with flashing eyes. Eyeball slumped in defeat. "I'm sorry Steven." she told him. Steven smiled weakly. She hesitated to thrust her knife but after withdrawing twice she finally wedged the blade between his skin and his gem.
Steven felt his consciousness slip away. Soon all he saw was darkness.
