"I HATE YOU STEVEN!!" The Crystal Gems and the Off Colors froze at the sudden outburst. "Lars wait I'm sorry I'm-" "I DON'T CARE!!" The words dug deep into Steven's heart. He opened his mouth to say something but decided against it. Lars stormed out of the room. His eyes were filled with rage. He gritted his teeth in frustration. "Lars..." "Shut UP!!" he shouted from the doorway. He then slammed the door. Steven's eyes widened and filled with tears.
"Steven what was that?" Amethyst asked as the other gems hurried in the direction of the commotion. He didn't answer, his eyes rimming with tears. "Steven..." she gave Garnet a worried expression. "Lars, I'm sorry." He then ran back up the stairs. "STEVEN!!" Pearl shouted. She was going to give chase but Garnet stopped her.
"Pearl let him go." she said calmly. "But Garnet-" "Did you hear what I said?" she asked her making a chill run up Pearl's spine. "Yes Garnet." Pearl sighed. The others then returned to the living room except for Garnet.
A/N: Welcome to my first Steven x Lars fanfic. Up to "Chapter 4: Twisted Chain of Events" the chapters were written on a phone and by a twelve year old me so forgive if it's awful.
