    Steven struggled to keep his rose shield up. "I can't hold for much longer Lars!" he shouted. "Lars?" he  rose an eyebrow curious at the unusual silence. "I'm so sorry Steven..." his face was clouded with darkness. "Lars..." "I shouldn't have run off like that!! This is all my fault!!" He screamed tears leaking down his face. "It's not you fault!! It's mine!! Maybe you're right! I should just..." He paused. "I'm sorry." Lars sniffed. "I am too." he smiled a sad smile. A pink glow surrounded both of them. Outside Aquamarine was laughing hysterically as Malachite continued to smash on the shield. Suddenly a warm pink glow shot out blinding her. "What the...." she squinted at the light. As it faded a figure stood. "Who are....what are....where are....huh?" the figure looked at his hands. "I- we're.....a fusion."

     Lars sighed as the footfalls of Steven faded away. He took out a pack of cigarettes and lit up. He allowed the warm smoke to fill his lungs. He then exhaled looking up at the sky. The swirls of pink, orange, red and blue. He closed his eyes for a moment before he felt a tickling sensation in his throat. He went into a fit of violent coughing then took another puff.

    Lapis Lazuli looked at the amazing sunset amid her home in Little Home world. The air rippled at her blue hair. She inhaled the crisp air, her eyes half closed. Suddenly a sound shook her from her state. "Peri?" she turned around a small knowing smile on her lips. The door opened and a tangerine with reddish orange markings and beige hair gem presented herself. "Hey Lapis." she grinned. "AHHHHHH!!!!!!" She screamed catching herself from falling off the balcony. "Oh sorry I didn't mean to scare you!" she said hurriedly. "WHY. ARE. YOU. HERE?? I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!!! DIDN'T STEVEN SAY YOU WERE BEYOND SAVING???" She slowly stood up. "Well I'm not." she slowly approached Lapis. The blue gem gasped turning to run before realizing she can't run. "What are you up to Jasper!?" Lapis looked up at the quartz soldier. "This is what's up." The quartz took hold of the gem's face and crashed her lips into hers. Her eyes widened in alarm before she slowly closed them. "Jasper....." she moaned their tongues swirling together, fighting for dominance. The two pulled away taking in deep breaths. "Jasper-" "I love you." she cut off the gem. Lapis looked at her with wide eyes. "I..." she looked away. "Please Lapis give me a chance!" Jasper pleaded going on one knee and holding her hand in a proposal kind of way. She thought for a moment. "I'll try. But if you betray me I WILL kill you" she said sharply. Her amber eyes light up. "I won't betray you!!" she said standing up and locking lips with her again.

    "Oh you won't" a voice soured the sweetness of the moment. The two gems looked up from their kiss. A strange gem with blue and red hovered over them "You won't have to." she grinned. Lapis gritted her teeth. "YOU!" her eyes blazed. Jasper was confused. "Who is that?" she looked at the angry gem. "Bluebird." she narrowed her eyes.

There was a blue glow and two gems appeared. "Glad you recognized us, though we hoped you'd give us a more appropriate welcome." Aquamarine smirked. "Me too." Eyeball (a Ruby soldier) said hanging onto Aquamarine's hand. "Fuck off both of you or else...." Lapis hissed, ice shards appearing in her right hand. "Ohhh such strong language~" Aquamarine smiled cheekily. "I think we can handle this." Eyeball laughed. "Oh yes we can, in fact I think I have a spell for this." she rose her wand and zapped them both. "ARRRRHHHHHGGGG!!!!!!" They both cried out in pain both collapsing onto the balcony floor. "Now we need you two to do something for us. We want you to form Malachite." Aquamarine landed gently on the platform with Eyeball. When the two raised up their heads, their eyes glowed grey. "Looks like your mind control spell worked." Eyeball observed. "Yep. Now let's go KILL Steven Quartz Universe." She smiled.
