     Lars took one look at the fusion then at Rose's son. "I'm sorry." he looked straight into his eyes then took off running. "Where do you think YOU'RE going?? Come back here." her voice sound like it came from a megaphone deep in her throat. She reached out her hand towards the fleeing human. Steven however wouldn't allow it and threw his shield at her hand. "AAAARRGGG!!" the giant screamed. He slipped in between her four legs reaching Lars who had frozen in place. "YOU!! I'LL DESTROY YOU, YOU PEST!!!" Malachite bellowed. She took her two hands and smashed her fists into the shield Steven immediately put up to protect them. "How does it feel to be close to defeat Steven? Tell me cause I don't know." Aquamarine reclined on empty air filing her nails with her wand. "What happened to Alexandrite?" Steven ignored her question. "Oh THAT weak thing, I destroyed it, duh. And now I'll destroy you!" she pointed at him. She then began to giggle, then chuckle, then broken laughter and finally a maddened laugh. Malachite began banging on the instrument of defense with all she had, spurred on by Aquamarine's laughs. Every hit began to be felt by Steven. He struggled to not be pounded into the ground along with Lars. Cracks began to show in the shield's surface. He wouldn't last. "What's the matter Steven? Can't take the PRESSURE??!!??" she taunted.

Steven ever so struggled to keep his Rose shield up. "I can't hold on for much longer Lars!" He shouted. "Lars?" he rose an eyebrow, curious at the unusual silence. "I'm sorry Steven..." his face was shadowed. "Lars-" "I shouldn't have just run off like that!! This is all my fault!!" He screamed tears leaking down his face. "It's not your fault!! Maybe if I just.." he paused tears pooling in the corner of his eyes. "I'm sorry." Lars sniffed. "Me too." he smiled a sad smile. A pink glow surrounded them both. Outside Aquamarine was now laughing hysterically as Malachite continued to smash on the shield. Suddenly a warm pink glow shot out blinding her. "What the..." she squinted at the light through her fingers. As it faded a figure stood. "Who are.....what are.....where are....huh?" the figure looked at its hands. "I-we're.....a fusion."
