Raised just like his name Perfectly tamed He needed no leash to lead him He was part of a strong kingdom
Sit and speak, quite brilliant he was Learned from his farther who didn't have paws The knights would do anything for this special boy They had the sharpest swords, engraved with the name Roy
This kingdom has been through many wars Survived them all and didn't keep score Though one peaceful night while everyone slept A fog rolled in and silently crept
The dog had been cursed by a silent killer So hard to catch as he got sicker There was hardly any time for the kingdom to react It all happened so fast
The king and all of his men rushed to reverse what the curse did But no matter how hard they tried it seemed as if it could not be undid As he struggled to fight for his own life The king made a decision after all the sleepless nights
His son was just in so much pain The suffering would only continue in vain The princesses, knights, the women and men Lined up to await this story books end
His hearts final beat Bringing the kingdom to their knees Engraved in their minds, a sentence "He was our prince"

In memory of my baby boy who deserved so much more time then what he got. Today we had to put my dog down after he got really sick. I love you so much Prince!! Fly high honey. ♡
