I sat silently, not willing to move a mussel.
Poppy buzzed around as she finished stitching up Kate’s arm before collapsing on the couch.
“Do one of you mind telling me what happened?” She hissed while rubbing her temple.
“I don’t really know, we found her like that.” Ron explained quickly.
“You found her like this?” Poppy asked unbelieving.
“Yes, we did,” Moine stated, getting annoying that someone would think we did that to her.
“Does anyone actually know who she is?” Viktor asked suddenly as the room fell silent.
“Harry?” I jumped at Ron’s voice as he touched my arm. “Are you alright, you zone out for a bit.”
I sighed before laying my head on his shoulder. “Yeah, I’m sorry.”
“Please don’t apologise, what were you thinking about?” Ron asked me sweetly.
I gave a fearful look to my sister before shaking my head, tears building in my eyes at the idea of breaking a rule.
I really wanted to say something but I couldn’t, I wasn’t allowed to break the rules.
“Harry! Harry, what’s wrong?” Ron asked me worriedly.
“I’m sorry,” I apologised quickly as tears streamed from my eyes.
“Harry!”
Before Ron could stop me, I jumped away and stumbled back. “I’m sorry! I’m really sorry.” Ron reached out to grab me but I flinched back and ran away.
I couldn’t break the rules, I wasn’t mean to. I couldn’t talk about any of that, I wasn’t allowed to.
I kept running through the halls until I felt myself trip and fall down the stairs. A sickening crack sounded, echoing around me in a familiar taunt.
Instead of moving, I curled up and started to cry quietly.
I found it hard and painful to breathe in and out but I didn’t move. I felt blood trickling down my forehead and out my nose but I still didn’t move. There was no way I could see Ron or the others, I couldn’t tell them the truth. I couldn’t break the rules!
“Potter?”
I jumped away from the voice but winced from the pain that flared up my spine from doing so.
“Potter, are you okay?” The voice asked me as I tried to back away from him.
I growled out a hiss from the action as more tears built in my eyes.
“Hey, don’t move.” The voice commanded me while pressing down on my back to keep me in place. I let out another hiss of pain as I pushed myself up. “I thought I told you not to move.”
Finally getting a good look at the owner of the voice, I spotted his unmistakable blond hair which swayed to the side of his pale blue eyes. His pale skin stood out against the heavy bags under his eyes and the dark suit he wore. The all too familiar form of Draco Malfoy.
“Are you okay?” He asked me as I nodded quietly but ended up straining my mussels causing me to hiss. “You’re clearly not.”
I glared at him but didn’t try fighting against him.
“We should get you to the hospital wing,” he suggested as I shook my head.
“I can’t go there!” I screamed hysterically while shaking and pulling at my hair. “I can’t break the rules! I have to follow the rules! I have to be good! I have to follow the rules!”
