I was still screaming but I felt the softness of the sofa and the comfort of the blanket. Suddenly, someone was shaking me. "B! Calm down. I'm here. Shhh," I heard Alex's voice again, "It's just a dream."

"I need to sleep again. Please just 5 more minutes."

"No, you'll get a headache if you sleep more. You can sleep later tonight again. You know there are dangers in pulling off an all- nighter."

"B-but," I tried to argue.

"Nope. Your tricks will not work on me. There is not a single reason you can bring up now that can be valid for this argument. You can't win."

I stood up from the couch, still feeling dizzy and a little bit hungry. I looked up at the clock and saw that it was ten in the morning and decide to make breakfast.

"Have you eaten already?" I asked Alex.

"Yup," he replied, his head back to the book he was reading.

I boiled water on the stove and chopped a sausage. I want to make noodles.

"Why are you suddenly reading a book?"

"I have classes later."

"Oh ok."

The room was silent for a few minutes. The sound of the stove, the sausage frying and the water boiling were the only ones you could hear.

"You were screaming a while ago, what were you even dreaming about?"

"It's a long story. I met a person in my dreams. Let's call it UP."

"Up?"

"Yes. For Unknown Person."

Alex rolled his eyes at the comment.

"At first I was terrified of it but we somehow became friends. I miss UP already."

"Well, that information just made it much weirder. If you go to sleep now, you can go insane, based on what you're telling me."

I feel Alex wanting to lecture me but he returned to his book. It was kind of annoying but I understand his point of view. I still wanted to meet with the person. It was quite addicting to learn about the other world, the dream world. I never wanted to wake up to the dull world of reality ever again.

"You know staying up late is very bad for you. You're insane already, you wouldn't want it to worsen."

When Alex said that, we burst out laughing. That ended the argument.

Alex said his goodbyes. He had to go to class. I got bored so I tidied up my place. After doing the chores, I decided to study in advance for my lectures since I have no confidence in passing it. I wanted to text with my friend, Carrie, but I ended up not doing it since she might still be asleep at this time and we don't even have classes.

The day was passing very slowly. I decided to add a new number to my sequence. I was quite therapeutic but I suddenly felt dizzy again. I feel myself burning up so I went to the bathroom and opened our medical supply and looked for the thermometer.

I put the thermometer in my armpit, closed my eyes and waited. I heard the loud beeping indicating that it was finished in taking my temperature. I took it and saw that I really was having a fever. It read 40 degrees Celsius. I can no longer move and feel myself drifting off to sleep again.

After a while, I felt someone try to carry me. I woke up. I still feel my head pounding and the touch felt very cold. I was surprised to see Alex. I remember saying something and he just helped me up and on my bed.
