Bakugo's POV

Bakugo and Todoroki walked in silence, Bakugo leading the way. The blonde had decided on a small food place that was owned by some family. They served really good desserts and burgers.

When they got inside the food place, the boys sat at the nearest empty table. Bakugo picked up the menu, which for some dumb reason was the only one at the table.

Bakugo figured he'd just give the menu to Todoroki once he was done with it, but instead the half 'n half wannabe hero leaned in closer to him to see the menu. He was basically leaning on Bakugo. The blonde was surprised at how suddenly close Todoroki was to him, but he didn't mind much. Although, he did notice a woman eating with her three kids give them a nasty look.

After settling on a delicious looking cheeseburger, Bakugo asked Todoroki, "Know what you want yet?"

Todoroki nodded, then said, "I'd like a pancake."

Bakugo found it funny that the younger male, who was usually emotionless, was asking for a pancake in the middle of the day.

"I'll go order." Bakugo said, but before he could go to the counter, Todoroki shoved money into his hand.

Bakugo almost protested, but decided against it since Todoroki was filthy rich, and it was probably Endeavor's money anyways.

Bakugo took the money and went to the counter. There were a few people in line to order before him. It took him a little while minutes to order the food and get back to the other male.

When he did, he noticed the mom from earlier walking away from the table. Bakugo sat down beside Todoroki.

"The hell did she want?" Bakugo asked.

Todoroki said nothing at first. He looked down at his hands, playing with the hem of his shirt. Bakugo was about to get up and ask the woman what she said, but Todoroki answered before he did.

"She...she recognized me from the sports festival." He said.

Bakugo accepted that answer, as it made sense, but a question popped up in the back of his mind.

If she really did just recognize him from the sports festival, why does he seem so nervous?

Before he could ask, a lady at the counter called his name, telling him his order was ready. He got his food and the two ate in silence.

"Thank you for taking me here Bakugo, but I'm going to go now." Todoroki said, breaking the silence.

Bakugo looked at him. He had barely eaten half of his pancake.

"But you've barely eaten anything." Bakugo said in confusion.

"I know but.....Please just let me leave."

Bakugo didn't protest anymore than that. He got out of his seat so Todoroki could leave, then sat back down. As the blonde watched his depressed friend leave, he couldn't help but wonder if this had something to do with the lady from before.

Todoroki's POV

Todoroki locked himself in his dorm the second he got to UA. The woman's words kept replaying in his mind.

The second Bakugo got to the counter, the mother from before jumped from her chair. She stormed to his side like some sort of angry monster.

"You're an absolutely disgusting person. How could you display your homosexuality like that when there are children around?" The woman whined.

Even though Todoroki and Bakugo weren't dating, and he wasn't sure what his sexuality was, her words got to him.

"H-he's not my boyfri-" Todoroki got cut off by the homophobic woman.

"Shut up, faggot! I don't want to hear your excuses. You can show this disgusting display elsewhere, but I don't want my children turning gay because of you two.
Why don't you guys leave and do anal or something?" The woman said, not showing an once of sympathy for Todoroki.

The woman turned around, noticing that Bakugo was returning, and went back to her table, a smile on her face.

Todoroki couldn't get the memory out of his head. It was like her words were weeds he just couldn't get rid of.

Todoroki needed a way to get her words out of his head, he had to distract his mind somehow.

The only thing he could think of was self harm. It would be hard to focus on the woman's harmful words when there was an intense pain in his arm.

Todoroki sat down at his desk after retrieving a razor blade. He rolled up his sleeve with a trembling hand.

Todoroki brought the blade to his arm. He pressed it against his delicate skin, then quickly moved it, leaving behind a bloody cut. Todoroki repeated this action over and over again, until he couldn't think of anything other than the pain.

He put his blade down on his desk. Todoroki looked up at the ceiling, closing his eyes, and drowning in the feeling. He could barely even remember the lady from the small restaurant anymore.

Todoroki sat still, counting his breaths. He felt better, calmer. He hadn't cut in a few years, since middle school, but he just couldn't stop himself.

First you attempt suicide, then you relapse and cut again, Todoroki thought.

Todoroki jumped when there was a knock on the door.

"Hey, Todoroki, you alright in there?" It was Bakugo's voice.

Todoroki scrambled to pull up his sleeve, hide his blade, and open the door. Bakugo was leaning against the door frame.

Bakugo's eyes landed on Todoroki's arm and he frowned. The younger male looked down at where the blonde was staring. Blood was soaking through his shirt.

"What's wrong with your arm?" The older male asked.

Todoroki didn't know how to answer. His mind couldn't decide on a lie.

"Lift up your sleeve." Bakugo sternly ordered.

Todoroki shook his head. He attempted to close the door, but Bakugo blocked it. He pushed his way inside Todoroki's room.

Bakugo grabbed Todoroki's arm, making him cry out in pain as he struggled against the blonde's grasp. Bakugo pushed him against the wall with his stomach pressing against the wood, holding him there. He then lifted up Todoroki's sleeve, revealing his cuts.

Todoroki heard Bakugo gasp from behind him. He let go of Todoroki. Todoroki barely had time to turn around when Bakugo pulled him into his arms.

Todoroki melted into his embrace. The affection felt so nice, he didn't hesitate to hug back.

"Why would you do that to yourself?" Bakugo asked. Todoroki could tell he was upset by his tone of voice.

"It's the only thing I could think of to distract myself." Todoroki answered.

"Distract yourself from what?" Bakugo asked, though it sounded more like a demand than a question.

Todoroki proceeded to tell him about what the woman said. Bakugo got visibly more pissed the more Todoroki spoke.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me? I would've beat her ass, and her children's!" Bakugo yelled.

"That's exactly why I didn't tell you." Todoroki replied.

The blonde let out an angry sigh. His grip on Todoroki loosened a bit.

"Alright, but promise me you won't do this if something like that happens again." Bakugo said, motioning to Todoroki's arm.

Todoroki didn't say anything. He wasn't sure if he would be able to keep that promise.

"Promise!" Bakugo demanded.

"Alright, I promise I won't do it again."

Bakugo smiled a little after hearing this.

"Good," Bakugo began, "Now, I'm going to bed. It's getting late.

I just realized that I'm way better at writing in Todoroki's POV than Bakugo's. I'll probably be writing in his POV more often from now on. Also, if you haven't noticed, I kinda suck at endings.
