Bakugo's POV
The school day went by normally. Kirishima and the other idiots were still annoying, Bakugo was still one of the smartest in the class, and that damn Deku was still a lil bitch. The only difference was that Todoroki didn't get on Bakugo's nerves. It seemed like he went from one of the most annoying to the least annoying within a few days.
It wasn't just that he no longer annoyed Bakugo, either. Bakugo sort of liked being around the King Of Daddy Issues. His quirk was cool, and the blonde found it interesting how well he could hide such strong emotions such as his depression and sorrow, his appearance really brought out the gay in Bakugo, and he was quieter than the rest of his classmates. All of which, Bakugo would never admit. Not even to God himself.
Once school ended, Bakugo rushed to his room to change into more comfortable clothes. He decided on his favorite black skull T-shirt and some black sweat pants. He then went to the common room in hopes of finding his favorite depresso expresso bean.
In the common room, Thunder Tits, Deku, Pink Cheeks, Discount Pikachu, Raccoon Eyes, and Mr. Mountain were playing Uno on the couches and coffee table. Diaper Baby was sitting on the kitchen counter while Captain Diabetes cooked. Sonic was supervising everyone, probably so they didn't end up destroying the place.
Bekugo was disappointed when he realized Todoroki wasn't there. He didn't want the others to know he had come down there to look for him, but he also wanted to know where Todoroki was for a reason he couldn't quite understand.
"Where is everyone else?" Bakugo asked, announcing his presence.
"Um, I think the rest of the girls went shopping. Most of the others are probably in their rooms, and Todoroki said he was going home for a while." Answered stupid Deku.
Although he was annoyed that Deku was the one to answer his question, he couldn't spend too much time thinking about it because he said that Todoroki was at his house. He was in the home of the reason he hated life.
The blonde told himself that his siblings just wanted to see him, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was happening, and it made his heart hurt.
"Do any of you have Todoroki's number?" Bakugo asked without thinking. He mentally punched himself in the face once the words left his mouth.
The others gave him questioning glances and awkward looks, and Mineta looked somewhat disturbed for some reason, but the blonde ignored them, as annoying as they were.
"Yeah, I have his number. It's ###-###-####." Thunder Tits said.
Bakugo turned around and went back to his room as he typed the number into his phone. Just in case something really was wrong, he wanted to be able to contact Todoroki.
Todoroki POV
A wave of pain shot through Todoroki's stomach as he was kicked, though he still got up so he could dodge the next attack.
"This is why I had to call you here. U.A's training alone won't help you be strong enough to surpass All Might! That's why you need my special training as well." Endeavor said, but Todoroki ignored him. Instead, he focused on not getting punched again.
Endeavor kept throwing punches with his firey fist, and Todoroki kept dodging. That is, until his movements were too slow, and Endeavor landed a good punch to his son's chest.
Todoroki was knocked to the floor. Before he had a chance to get up, Endeavor punched him in the jaw.
The flaming trash bag had no mercy. He kept hitting Todoroki, despite him being beaten so badly he couldn't get up.
One more hit to his stomach caused Todoroki to puke all over the floor and his own face.
"This is pathetic. If you can't even stand up to me, how the hell do you expect to be a hero that's even half decent?" Endeavor said as he turned to leave the room. As he did, Todoroki heard the bastard say, "At least you're still stronger than the other mistakes."
Todoroki wanted to stand up for his siblings, but he couldn't. He didn't have the energy to speak. As he lied in his own blood and puke, nothing stopped his mind from going to a darker place.
If you were dead, you wouldn't have to deal with this shit anymore, you know?
The voice was right, but Todoroki couldn't leave his siblings behind to deal with their fathers rage.
Your siblings probably hate you. It's your fault that mom is in the hospital. If you were never born, none of this would have happened.
The voice was right again, but what about his mom? She would miss him if he were to die.
You think she actually cares about you? She's just pretending she does because she's a nice person who doesn't want to hurt your feelings. All of her pain was caused by you being alive.
The voice kept bringing up excellent points. Every possible reason Todoroki had for living could easily be taken away by the voice. Every point it brought up was a good one.
Todoroki then remembered that if he died, he'd never be able to see Bakugo again. Bakugo may be a hot-headed asshole, but he somehow made Todoroki feel better. He enjoyed being around him.
But does he enjoy being around you, or is it just so he feels better about himself when you give up?
That question stumped Todoroki. He wanted to believe Bakugo was a genuine friend, but there was also a possibility that he just didn't want to feel bad about himself.
Todoroki needed a way to rid himself of these thoughts, but he didn't have the energy to get up. He had no reason to when the voice kept telling him that he was better off dying.
BING!
Todoroki's phone went off from inside his bag. The boy almost ignored it, but something told him that he should see who it is.
He forced himself to get up with aching legs, trembling hands, and puke-scented hair. He slowly made his way to his bag and found his phone from inside of it.
He turned it on, realizing it had been an unknown number that texted him. He clicked on the notification, only to be greeted by an amazing text.
Unknown: This is Bakugo. U ok?
It was something so simple, but Todoroki couldn't help but smile. It was proof that Bakugo cared.
