It was the lunch break and the two kids aka Jisung and Lifan were going to the cafeteria to get something to eat. It was the exam season and thankfully it was soon to end with their last one due on Saturday.

Jisung was in a good mood and couldn't wait to eat. He'd been feeling like he hasn't had anything the whole day when infact he did eat a lot for the breakfast. It's just he gets developed an extra stomach during exams.

His active self didn't reciprocate with the slim girl beside him. She was exhausted which was very much evident from her dark circles that had accentuated than before. Not just that she was tired, she actually got weaker.

Walking sluggishly towards the eating place, Lifan had been dragged by a chatty Jisung who couldn't make the choice of what he wanted to eat. When there was no response, only then he took in her appearance.

"Hey lifan? Are you okay? You don't seem fine, are you sick? Fever?" Jisung's worrying side took over as he placed the palm of his hand on her forehead which was scalding hot.

"You're burning!! Oh God we should go to the infirmary. Wait, I'll buy you some anti-pyretics but first you need to eat something," he made her sit by a table and went straight to buy something to eat so she can take the medicine.

"Here, eat this and I'll go buy the meds,"

Again, there was no response.

He looked at her and all he could focus were her eyes. They looked dead, like they lost all her color.

He became scared- worrying it might be something dangerous. She had been looking forward at God knows what, scaring the boy out.

"Lifan? Hey if it's something serious-? oh wait, lemme find Renjun hyung. He'll know bet-"
At this, the said girl finally made some movement, eyes locked at Jisung now. She took the carton of milk from his hand and ushered him to go bring the meds by a curt nod

He got the signal and went to buy any pyrexia relieving drugs he could find.
She took the meds with milk, instead of water (a/n: i do this all the time, taking meds with anything but water)

A few moments of silence passed between them, wherein Jisung continued to look at Lifan with his eyes full of concern, eyebrows knitted.
However, she looked ahead.

"Don't tell Renjun about it," she finally spoke, scared that he might spill it to her brother.

"Why though? You are obviously very sick! You need to get it checked and most importantly, you need some rest, silly girl," Jisung scolded her, sighing.

"I'm fine."

"You're clearly not. It obvious you've had a fever since at least 2 days. Did no one else noticed? Not even Renjun?" Jisung inquired, surprised that the older didn't care enough to notice his sick sister. He felt a little mad at Renjun.

"Anyways, let's take you home. You seem like you'll fall down any second"
Jisung tried to hold the meek girl by her shoulder in case if she actually falls and shockingly, she let him.

It was Friday, also the day their exams were going to end and Jisung couldn't be happier. He was almost walk-dancing with the thoughts of his freedom being regained. No more staying up all night.

Only then, he decided to halt his celebration and take a look at the girl beside him. She did look better than the other day, but was she really okay? Jisung didn't know that. He wanted to find out but he didn't want to pressure her into telling him.

"How are you feeling today? Has your fever died down?" he asked while checking her temperature, by his hand.

"Yes, I'm a lot better, Jisung. You don't need to worry," she put his hand down with a small smile, telling that she's okay now.

He was still doubtful of her. She's definitely hiding something, he thought. But he didn't question further.

While on the way to his home, he remembered something that made him dash to the destination.

"Shit, I'll get late-" and Jisung was on his heels.

But what that 'something' might be?

Flashback

Right after Jisung left the exam hall, he made his way to his locker to take his things out to leave.

Among his books, he noticed something else with it's edge sticking out. It was a yellow colored post-it note. Jisung, curious as who left it there, looked around but there was no one who looked like it.

Reading it, made his forehead crease to vanish as the note told him about that person's identity.

Jisung read out the note as,

"Come to the art café around the corner after college. I have something to talk about.
Be sharp, don't even dare to waste my time!!

- Renjun"

A smile adorned his face after reading Renjun's name, his heart doing a thing.

Holding the small note in his hand, he kept reading it again and again. He could almost listen Renjun saying those words.

Now, he noticed that the older boy didn't specify him any time? Anyways, following whatever instructions were written down, he got ready right away.

Jisung hastily walked through the the gate so that he won't be late. The last thing he wanted was to make Renjun mad. As he was going out of the gate, someone saw him.

Sicheng who had just arrived inside in his car saw Jisung going out of the house in a hurry, finding it a bit odd.

"Where is he going? Didn't he just returned from college? Strange, he never goes out dressed like this unless-

He's going on a date"

*gasp*

Sicheng practically gasped. He might be thinking wrong but the thought still crossed his mind. He couldn't believe his little brother has grown up already. Heck, he didn't even get to see him grow up. But still excited that Jisung won't be alone anymore.

Unlike him
