He waited, he really did.
He kept looking at the entrance for someone familiar. Someone that could make him feel at ease. But that someone didn't arrive.
Until it was night and no more people came. Everyone was dead tired and went to their rooms to close their eyes for some time. Everyone but Jisung. He didn't want to go to his room, knowing well he might breakdown again.
So he just stayed outside in the garden, looking at the sky in a daze. Keeping himself busy by gazing at the stars with a blank face. He didn't want to think about it. He just wanted to forget.
He kept sitting in the cold weather wearing only a shirt. His nose red, the thin fabric not enough to keep him from the icy gusts of the February wind.
Yes, it was the first of February today.
Just three more days until his birthday
But he didn't care about it. He would never celebrate his birthday without his yéye. It was all him getting excited over his birthday, bringing the cake and the balloons but not anymore. All that was gone with him.
Jisung held back a sob but got distracted when all of a sudden he heard some sounds.
"What.. was that?" Jisung whispered to himself. He's a brave boy- okay scratch that he ain't one. He's one big scaredycat and being all alone (he thought) in the huge garden at night, his mind went towards all the scary thoughts.
His senses heightened by the disturbance got him looking keenly around him to spot something?
While Jisung was frozen in fear, there's a hushed commotion going on between the huang siblings. Nothing new, just casual exchange of death threats here and there.
"I will make sure to throw you out of the window right into that tree so that you can die the same death like in that conjuring movie," Renjun tried his best threaten his sister who was trying to figure out how to open the locked gate.
"Lifan!" he whisper-shouted when the younger turned a deaf ear to him
"What?! Can you be a little quiet? I know it's difficult for you loud ass but please try," she scoffed and returned back to what she was doing.
"Are you out of your mind?! Why are we breaking into someone's house again? We can just knock and it'll fuCKING OPEN!"
"Would you shut up?! And don't ask me that. You were the one who was too shy to see Jisung crying"
"Hey! I wasn't shy! Why would I be shy? The heck? That doesn't make any sense!" Renjun huffed in denial.
The lock made a noise when it opened and Renjun lost his mind.
"Oh my God Lifan!! You broke the lock! What are we gonna do now?" He nervously held on his little sister in fear of getting caught.
"Remind me to never trust you again"
"You'll thank me later, idiot"
The tall gate was pushed open with minimal noise as they both tried their best to be discreet and slipped inside the mansion.
Jisung, on the other hand, finally found some courage after freezing for five minutes and decided to look for any intruder or worse, a ghost?
"No no no it's alright. There's no ghost here" Jisung coaxed himself as he went to the entrance only to find the gate open and the lock unlocked.
Gulp
Jisung was ready to shit his pants. He was freaking out in his mind but his body froze and for some good minutes he didn't react and just kept looking the lock in his hand.
