Once I realized what I was feeling this whole time, I smiled a little bit. I never thought in my life that I would fall in love this young, but I knew it was there. The question was, did Link feel the same way about me?
"Hey," he turned around to see where I was. "Are you coming?"
I smiled back. "Yeah," I said, happy as ever. I ran over to him, and we exited the room through the door. Well, I had to find out sooner or later, and that was okay with me.
I followed Link as we came up to the hole again, and looked up. The hole was ten feet in the air, and I knew that from experience. "Um, how the heck do we get back up?"
"The light would carry us up," Link explained. "But only if you had the magic capable of doing it."
"What does that mean?"
"It means that-" he paused, widening his eyes and blushing red again. "That...I would have to carry you with me."
I blushed along with him then, and my feelings came back. "Uh...what was that?"
"Well, looks like you don't have a choice Link." I gave Tatl a look when I turned my head, and she let out a small ding to wink at me. I realized what she was doing for me, and smiled.
"It would be faster too...I guess." He looked at me, his face completely red.
I giggled with how funny he looked. "Come on, Link. I promise I won't bite." I walked forward, close enough to have our bodies almost touch, and he gave out a ragged breath. He swallowed loudly, but carefully wrapped his arms around me. The feeling of him so close to me was exhilarating, but I kept myself from showing it.
"Okay, are you ready?" he asked, clearly calmed down. He looked up.
"Yep, let's go." I looked up too, and I felt myself being lifted from the ground. Link held me as we went up, but I didn't even dare to hug him more than I did. I didn't want to make him more uncomfortable than he was. Once we touched our feet to the ground again, Link let me go quickly but gently. "See? That wasn't so bad, was it?"
I giggled, smiling sweetly, and spun around to run out of the graveyard. I didn't hear any footsteps at first, but Link caught up to me quickly when we came back to our horses. Rose and Epona were waiting patiently for us, standing next to each other. Rose lifted her head and her ears went forward in hearing my footsteps.
I hopped off the platform, and walked over to her, hugging her head. "Hi, girl. Are you okay? Did any monsters try to hurt you?" She snorted in response, and I laughed. "Good. I need to do one more thing, okay? I'll be back soon."
I petted her as she licked her lips, and walked away towards Link, who was grinning at me. "You talk to horses?"
I grinned back. "Oh, please. She's my best friend." I looked up at the giant cliff again, and noticed something I didn't see before. "Hey, what's that?"
Link followed my gaze. "Looks like a stump," he answered. "For my hookshot."
"Hookshot?" I asked.
"Yep." He pulled out a device that had a long chain and a big pointy arrowhead at the end that I figured was the hook. He held it from a handle he clenched in his fist, giving me a show-off expression that made my heart go a-flutter for a minute. "This thing will pull me up anywhere as long as I can grab it."
"Will it carry two people?" I asked, but regretted it once I did.
"Yeah, it will." He cleared his throat. "Come on."
I smiled when he wasn't as uncomfortable as last time, and jogged up to him. He wrapped an arm around my waist, and I shrieked as the sudden whiplash came over me. It only took a second for Link to plant his feet and put me down. I gasped once, not knowing what the heck happened, and I had to shake my head to relieve my dizziness.
