Alex’s Pov.

My hands shook as I turned my back on her, a single tear cascading down my cheek in the most manly way possible, It took every ounce of willpower I had to not just turn around and run back there, take her in my arms and tell her everything would be alright, but I knew it wasn’t the right time yet.

She didn’t even blink when I asked her name, it just flew out effortlessly, Abigail Highcroft, like it meant nothing to lie and not just to anyone but to me, I was 99% sure about it, it all made sense now.

She has a faded Baltimore accent, nobody knows anything about her life up to four years ago, and then there was her lips, the familiar feel of her soft lips washed through my brain, there was no deliberation to be done, ever since I she tweeted me that day I knew, it was just too weird, everything adds up, hitting Jasey, calling me Lex there was only one explanation.

She’s Ella, she’s been Ella all along, she got out, and she’s alive.

That only posed one question, one fatal question, why did she run and hide after all these years, and everyone looking for her?

My walking and thinking lasted all the way back to the bus, I pushed open the door and made my way into the lounge, the place was a mess, empty jars and dirty dishes covering the sides, without even thinking about it I put myself to work, cleaning everything in sight for what felt like forever, I did the entire kitchen and lounge in an hour before moving onto the back lounge bunks and bathrooms, by the time I had it all spotless it started to get dark outside, It was six o’clock, not late enough to go to bed that left me but nothing other than my thoughts chewing away at my brain, my willpower dripping away bit by bit.

“She’s been avoiding you all tour, maybe she doesn’t want to be found?” I started to crazily talk to myself in my own head that could explain everything, maybe she doesn’t want to be Ella, and maybe it’s my fault? What if she left because of me…?

(AN- Zack/Alex)

“Alex…. You okay you look white?” Zack's throaty voice drifted down the hall to me, causing my head to jump upwards in shock.

“Yeah, mm fine” I tried to brush Zack off with a simple answer and sunk to sit next to me.

“Where did you go after playing today?” without even thinking I let the truth spill out to him.

“I went to talk to Abigail” Zack seemed to animate at her name shuffling slightly on his chair.

“Why, what did you talk to her about, what did she say?” He blurted everything out in one long quick sentence, looking rather excited. Okay.

“I asked her why she keeps running away from me”

“And?” He looked up at me with a big hopeful smile on his face, like I was a kid trying to come up with the answer to a maths problem that he already knew.

“She said she doesn’t know, but I have a feeling you do?” I raised my eyebrows at Zack and looked him right in the eye, he looked towards the floor and then back up at my face.

“It’s not my place to say you should ask her” Zack sighed and that confirmed my suspicions.

“You know she’s Ella?”

“YES, MORE IMPORTANTLY HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?” Zack jumped up from his seat in excitement, dragging me up with him.

“The more I thought about it, it became obvious, and I was in love with the girl remember Zack?”

“Was” That one little word made me think about everything, I started to walk to the door of the bus Zack flanking me?

“Still, Always, Forever, I need to go to her” Without even giving Zack a second to say anything I was off the bus and running through the lot towards hers, people shouted me as I ran but I just brushed them off, man on a mission.

I got to the YouMeAtSix bus just as I ran out of breath, Max noticed me running towards and opened the door to greet me, I walked into the bus with him and he silently passed me a glass of water, I took it and quickly drank it down giving myself a few seconds to recover.

“Max I need to speak to Ella right away” Max gave me a weird look and I realised I had slipped up.

“Abigail I need to speak to her now, ABIGAIL” I shouted the last part of my sentence expecting her to come running out to me but nothing, Max was just about to speak when another voice filled its spot.

“She’s not hear Gaskarth, and neither should you be that is unless you value your pathetic life” Josh emerged from the bunk area brandishing his fist with a nasty glare.

“Then where is she?” I decided to ignore the rest of his sentence and waited for an answer, impatiently mind.

“Honestly, I expected her to be on top of you, and seen as that’s not the case I really have no idea” I tried to advance towards him but Max stopped me, shaking his head somewhat sympathetically.

“What is your fucking problem?” I exploded at Josh wiping the smug little smile off his face.

“Oh I’m sorry, I’m I being rude, well what the fuck do you expect when I see you practically water fucking MY GIRLFRIEND” So much to process in that sentence, I stepped backwards and then forwards not sure if I should check somewhere else or just advance towards him.

“Your girlfriend?” Josh chuckled and shook his head.

“Not anymore, probably a good thing really, knowing you track record its probably best, at least this way I don’t end up with anything” He smirked and flashed his teeth, usually his words would slide off my back like it was glass but not today, he pushed too many buttons.

“FUCK YOU JOSH” I screamed loud enough for every bus in the area to be alerted, the rest of youmeatsix came rushing from the back bunk just in time to see my balled up fist connect with a surprised Josh’s face and knock him to the ground out cold.

“THAT WAS FOR ELLA” Before I even had a chance to turn around and walk away, Dan flashed before my eyes, raising his hand and letting it fall against my eyes, in the next few seconds I thought about one girl, I needed to get to her, I needed to find her.

“Ella” I called out her name once, and then everything went blank.
