Alex's words kept floating around in my head, he was right, he was always right.... well. Never lie about who you are, never pretend to be somebody your not, if they don't love you for you then they don't love you at all, I remember uttering these exact words to Alex four years ago, and now he had to remind me, there was only one probably solution to everything he has said, only one course of action to take, I had to be again, no matter what the consequences.
And all that thinking brought me to where I am now, 3 hours and 2 minutes ago Alex was walking away from me with a tear in his eye and now I'm stood in an drug store looking through the hair die, If I was going to do this I had to do it with a bang, I grabbed two boxes of there brightest red hair die and a whole basket full of hair spray and makeup, after making sure I had absolutely everything I needed I made my way to the checkout counter.
The lady behind the counter gave me a warm smile as she rung up my items, taking a lenthy amount of time studying everything I purchased and ringing it up.
"Going for a new look I see?" She held up one of the boxes of hair day and gave me a toothy smile, I took a good look at her, mid thirty's bleach blonde hair, tight uniform...
"Yeah its quite overdue actually" She rung up the last of my items and told me the total, after paying by card she started to bag up my stuff.
"I like your hair the way it is, you look so pretty and cute" She looked back down at the items in my bag and gave me a slanted smile of disgust before motioning back up to her peroxide blonde locks.
"Oh that's a shame then really?" She gave me a puzzled look and tapped against the counter with her long fake nails.
"Because on you, it makes you look like a desperate whore, have a good day now" I left her standing at the counter with a shocked catching fly's type look and made my way back down the street, the biggest laughing fit ever coming over me.
I made my way slowly back to the bus, making each step last about 20 seconds more than it needed to, my eyes caught a small looking boutique on the corner of the street I was on, I could hear the loud sounds of warped tour in the distance, in the window of the boutique was the most amazing blue sailor girl dress, I have no idea why I was so attracted to it in no less that ten minutes time I found myself walking out of the shop with the dress and some white thigh high stockings, everything about the outfit just screamed out Ella Jacobs and that's exactly what I needed to be myself.
Unfortunately it was a short walk back to warped from the shopping strip, I got in through security relatively easy and decided to walk around for a while, the final bands of the night were playing and most people were leaving, it was pretty dead around.
"OMG OMG YOU'R ABIGAIL HIGHCROFT!?!?" I turned quickly on my heel and was met face to face with a smiling little fan girl wearing a youmeatsix t'shirt, she looked about 15 years old and was practically shaking in excitement.
"Yeah that's me its nice to meet you?" I smiled down at her and waited for her name.
"Laura, your You Me At Six's tour manager aren't you !!?" I nodded and smiled at her.
"Yeah Ive known them almost 4 years know, there pains in the ass but I love them"
"YOU SO lucky I would give my right arm to meet just one of them, seriously" She sighed a little and looked down at her van's, a selfish thought crossed my mind.
"I'm actually going back to the bus as we speak, how would you like to come along and meet them, you can even keep your right arm" I smiled up at her and watched as she jumped up and down at least 15 times, she was cute, and her being with me would stop any and all arguments from happening, win win.
