The way that Henry Bowers looks at you unnerves you.

Makes you sick to your stomach actually.

-

If anyone were to become a serial killer in this whole town, it would be Henry Bowers.

He was literally a textbook serial killer - without the killings of course (at least to the public's knowledge).

You've lived in this town your whole life.

Grown beside him.

You've seen how he treats people like dirt.

Animals especially were recipients of his brutality. Grotesque displays often hurriedly being cleaned up by adults before any of the children could see them. You've seen them though. And you've always known the culprit.

Henry Bowers.

He even had a police dad! Perfect for covering any of his deviant footsteps.

-

And every day you would catch him staring at you.

Intently.

Penetratively.

Each day, for the last few weeks, his stares had led way to awkward wordless interactions.

He started by taking up your usual hiding spots at school.

Which was scary in itself because they were hiding spots for a reason.

Not only that, it forced you to find new places to take shelter.

You were getting pretty creative.

But apparently the large unhinged locker in the abandoned hallway was not secretive enough?

One by one, he'd violate the private sanctuary your hiding spots provided you with.

And each time you found him hanging out in your shelters, he'd simply give you a sly grin.

Then he started stalking you outside of school. Through your bedroom window you'd see him pass by your house. On those occasions, he was accompanied by his Bowers gang. Maybe to cover his tracks.

But whenever you were at your frequented neighborhood spots, he always happened to break away from his group and make sure you knew his presence was near.

He even stepped into the library in the last few days. Quickly you had snatched all of your research from your table and stuffed it into your backpack before he could see even a word. His arm rested on the table opposite you and you did not even look at him, you just ran right out of the building without a second thought.

Just a low chuckle bid you goodbye.

He did not follow.

-

You did not understand why he was picking on you all of a sudden.

He'd always been extra creepy to you. Staring weirdly.

But you mostly kept to yourself, and strangely he'd never bothered you. Until now that is. The immunity to his toxic behavior was too good to last apparently.

Henry Bowers had a kink for making misfits' lives a living hell. No exclusions.

And you are a misfit.

Not outwardly weird. Not even ugly! Just a social recluse. With messed up thoughts... but no one knows about those.

Due to this,

Henry Bowers had made you his new target.

And you started believing that maybe it was also due to your research.

Since he stalked you on his own, without all his henchmen buffoons following his every breath.

His focus on you was based on something quite personal to him.

That you could easily tell.
