Sariya. | 1 month later....."Go do your thang baby." Sariya smiled as she leaned forward to peck Andrews lips with both of her arms wrapped around Lira and Lena.
"Thanks baby." He pecked her lips again and pulled back, leaning down to the girls level. "Are you going to stay awake this time?" He asked Lena who giggled and nodded her head.
"I'll try." She said sweetly causing Sariya to laugh, he just smiled pointing to his cheek and she leaned forward kissing it. He sent her a quick wink and turned to Lira.
"Alright tell me what I need to work on tonight my lucky charm?" He asked and she crossed her arms.
"Well last game you had 3 turnovers and that's not okay," She started and he agreed shaking his head. "And you also need to shoot more free throws. Other than that you got this." Lira smiled, wrapping her little arms around his neck. Andrew hugged her back and they pulled away from each other doing their little handshake.
Sariya just watched them with a smile on her face, turning to Maria who was also smiling. She had just been assigned to go overseas but was granted a week to be with family before she left. She was grateful everyone was being so helpful and supportive. From the second the girls arrived and she was given this responsibility of protecting them, everyone made sure she was never alone. Andrew was always by her side and he had grown so close to the girls. Hell so had she. Lira has opened up so much and has pretty much become Andrews best friend because of her love for basketball. And Lena was such a loving and sweet child, she had everyone wrapped around her fingers. They both did. Her heart kind of broke knowing at some point she would have to give them back. That all of this was temporary. But overall it opened her eyes to what was important to her and what she needed— and that was family.
It's crazy to think that what she really needed was a guy who just turned 21, trying to hit on her in a club he wasn't even able to get in before that day. And it's even crazier to wonder what life would be like if she hadn't gotten drunk off her ass and married him. He drove her crazy, and made her do some crazy ass things, but Sariya had fallen in love. And she was okay with that.
"Alright gang," Andrew sighed as he heard his name being called by his coach. He stood up, fixing his headband. "I got a game to go win." He smiled, sending Sariya a quick wink and turning around to jog back to the bench.
He made it halfway before Sariya yelled, "Wait!" Stopping him in his tracks. He turned around confused and she told the girls she'd be right back running to meet him, grabbing his face and smashing her lips against his. She could tell she caught him off guard as he stumbled slightly but he quickly recovered kissing her back. She pulled away still holding onto his face.
"Andrew! Come on!" His coach yelled and he opened his mouth to speak but Sariya covered his mouth.
"I love you Andrew." She told him smiling hard and his eyes widened as he stared at her speechless. "Now hurry up before your coach benches you." She giggled turning him around and playfully slapping his butt, before running back to her seat.
Andrew stood in the same spot stuck for a few seconds, before snapping out of it and running to the bench. He had no words, and his mind wasn't even on basketball anymore.
Sariya returned to her spot in the middle of the girls and sat down pulling Lena in her lap, and Lira into the seat next to her. Maria watched Andrew, noticing how shooked and zoned out he looked as the team hurdled around the coach. She turned to Sariya raising her eyebrow.
