Sariya.
Sariya hands were shaking as she typed away on her phone. She was texting Maria who was back at her house watching the girls. Next to Sariya sat Andrew and Henry, and they were sitting inside of the correctional facility. Her nerves and anxiety were high and she could barely think straight.
What did he want with me?
Sariya barely slept or ate the night before. She just felt terrible and the thought of food made her sick. Her nerves were getting the best of her.
"Hey baby you okay? You're extremely warm." Andrew asked into her ear, his arm wrapped protectively around her shoulder.
She turned to him and smiled softly, nodding. "I'm okay."
Lies. You feel dizzy and you're probably dehydrated.
"Are you just saying that?" He questioned, raising his eyebrow and she rolled her eyes.
"I'm fine babe."
He threw his hands up in defense. "Okay if you say so. But the second I see you slipping, we're leaving."
She just shook her head and returned her attention back to her phone. The sound of heels walking into the room caught their attention as they looked up landing eyes on the one person they least expected.
"Mom?" Sariya's face scrunched up. "What are you doing here?"
Hilary took a quick glance around the room, standing side by side with bodyguards that looked like they would kill on sight.
"Senator July— what do we owe the pleasure?" Henry asked, standing up to shake her hand.
"Henry," She shook his hand before turning to Sariya, noticing the bags under her eyes and how pale her skin was. She frowned slightly. "You honestly didn't believe that I was going to let a scum like Germano threaten my child and get away with it? Did you?"
Henry quickly shook his head no. "No ma'am but with all due respect I just don't remember anyone knowing about this."
Hilary turned back to Henry. "Well with all due respect, I don't remember me asking if you did. But if you need to know, I have a lot of powerful friends and one of them just so happens to be your boss. Now anymore questions?" She smiled, and Henry bit his tongue, backing away from her.
"No ma'am."
Sariya mugged her. "You don't have to be rude to Henry, and no one asked you to be here. I don't need you coming in here and making anything worse."
Hilary just sighed and turned to her body guards, turning them away before looking back at Sariya. "Listen I know you have resentment towards me, and I understand why. But I am not going to let anybody put you in danger. Regardless of the drama I am your mother Sariya and I want to be here for you. Being a mother doesn't require an invite. So let me help you."
Sariya rolled her eyes and opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by one of the prison guards coming in the room.
"Mrs. West. He's ready to see you."
Andrew stood up and held his hand out for Sariya and she grabbed his hand standing up.
"Do you want me to go in with you?" He asked and Sariya turned to look at her mother quickly before looking back at him, shaking her head no.
"I don't want Germano to try and use you as bait against me. I rather handle him alone."
Andrew nodded and turned to Hilary. "Well if I can't go in, I want you to go in with her. She's clearly not feeling well."
