Sariya.Sariya's eyes were closed as she stretched her arms above her head. She was exhausted due to the rough night she had getting the girls to bed. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't easy, especially since the girls are so used to having their mom around. Lena doesn't like naps, sleeping, or anything that requires her to settle down and Lira is just giving her a hard time. However she isn't mad at them, because she understands what they could be going through.
Imagine your whole world getting flipped upside down and being taken away from the only person that makes you feel safe.
Another body moved next to her making her jump up scared, only to see Lira in between her and Andrew. Her eyes widened at both of them because one Lira was left in her own bed, and two Andrew wasn't even supposed to be there.
"Stop moving before you wake her up." Andrew mumbled with his eyes still closed.
Sariya's face scrunched up. "How the hell did you get in here?"
"Jordyn let me in." He mumbled again, this time opening one eye. "And then Lira woke up crying and I didn't wanna bother you so I stepped in and talked to her for a while, and she asked if she could sleep with us."
Sariya pouted. "Wait she talked to you? Like actually had a conversation with you?"
Andrew smirked at her face expression. "Yes ma'am. Maybe you're right, maybe she just doesn't like you." He joked making Sariya smack her lips.
"Shut up." She sighed, laying back down. Lira cuddled into her side and Riya's heart melted as she reached over and rubbed her back. "My heart hurts for her. She's trying so hard to be a big girl when she just wants her mom."
Andrew watched as Sariya rubbed her back, smiling to himself. "She told me she likes you, she's just scared that's all. She's scared about going to a new school, she's scared about being away from her mom, she misses her mom, but she's also confused about why things are changing. Any child would be scared in her situation. Give her time to really open up to you, she's a very smart girl."
Sariya smiled back at him, continuing to rub her back. "I think it's cute how you show up and get her to open up. Especially since I never told them about you."
Andrew lifted his hand to rub his eye, a huge grin on his face. "That's just the awesomeness of me. I hope you're taking notes, because all of our future children will definitely be daddy's kids."
Sariya snorted. "And why is that?"
He had a goofy look on his face, reaching over to massage her scalp. "Don't worry about it sweetheart. Just get used to me being the favorite."
"You get on my nerves." She smiled, closing her eyes at the feeling. Andrew really did make life better, and she was so grateful for him.
"I'm not gone say to much because there's a child sleeping between us— which might I add is something I could get used too— but I made 8 threes and got the dub." Andrew fake yawned, turning onto his side. "A little birdy told me I was still owed a surprise."
Sariya giggled and stared him in his eyes. "Is that right?"
"Mhm." He nodded letting his hand slip from her hair to her face. "But we'll talk about that later, go back to sleep."
She smiled gratefully, keeping her arm around Lira. "I swear you were sent from Heaven."
"I've never heard that before," He chuckled, closing his eyes. "You make me better."
Her stomach filled with butterflies as she continued to stare at him. It was as if a wave of emotions hit her and she finally hit the water after falling from the cliff. Time really had no limit because she knew in that moment that she loved him. Jordyn was right.
For so long she assumed she was incapable of love, the feeling of love, or simply understanding what love meant. But staring at him, feeling his touch, and watching him breathe... She actually loved him, and she was fucking terrified.
