The next day, Josh arose from the shore by Tyler's condo and hid behind a rock to watch him. He stayed there for a long time, hoping Tyler would come out and notice him.

Meanwhile, Jordan went by the condo to see if Tyler was there so he could tell him about Josh. When he went to the door, Zack answered once again.

"What do you want?"

"Is Tyler here?" Jordan asked.

Zack went behind the door and called to his brother.

"Tyler, Jordan's here!"

Jordan saw Tyler come down the stairwell. He understood why Josh was in love with him so much.

"Do you remember Jordan?" Zack asked his brother.

"Yes, of course I do."

"Well, he wants to talk to you."

"Yeah, okay."

He stood face to face with Jordan.

"You wanna go walk along the beach and talk?"

"Sure, that'll be great."

As Josh hid behind the rock watching, he saw Jordan walking along the beach with Tyler. He became very curious.

"Why is my brother talking to him?"

Afraid they might see him, he hid his head away from sight, and listening to their conversation. It was faintly impossible to hear clearly, but Josh could understand it.

"You knew me and my little sisters for a long time, have you not?"

"Of course." Tyler replied. "You guys are always included in my nightly prayers. I could never forget you guys."

"Well, I've been recently told that you were rescued after nearly drowning."

"Who told you?" Tyler asked.

Jordan lied to protect his little brother.

"My mother, Mrs. Laura Dun told me, along with her nurse maid, Maria."

Tyler looked out into the ocean. Josh wanted to peek out and see him, but he was afraid. He continued to hide away from sight.

"It was a scary experience." Tyler told him. "Ever since my little sister died, I promised myself I would never go near the ocean, but a voice drew me there. I couldn't see or tell who it was, but it fascinated me. It was the most beautiful voice I'd ever heard, until the waves pull me down."

Tyler turned away from the ocean, and looked along the seashore.

"Someone or something saved me, and brought me back to the shore. I couldn't recognize who they were, but I remember a young blonde girl who brought me to her condo, and I think it was her.

When he heard this, Josh's heart dropped. He still didn't know it was him. Jordan felt hopeless after hearing Tyler's words.

"You don't think it was anyone else?"

"No. There is no other person that could've saved my life."

He looked back to the ocean.

"Not even a merman."

Josh felt his heart beating faster than normal, like it was going to break into a thousand pieces.

Jordan lowered his head, saddened.

"I hope you find him or her that saved your life."

Tyler nodded.

"Thank you, Jordan."

Josh, filled with sadness, turned to see Jordan leaving his condo and Tyler staring off into the sea. He still couldn't give up on convincing him.

"Someday, You'll love me, and you'll know I saved your life."

The merman dove back into the ocean and swam back to the cove.
