Six Feet Under [Joshler]

Josh rose up from the water and found himself back at the cove. He expected to be all alone, but he wasn't.

His older siblings had sat by the edge waiting for him to return, and they had fallen asleep waiting.

Josh wanted to say goodbye to them, but he couldn't speak. So he went and got some sea flowers and placed them next to them, then kissed each of his siblings on the forehead.

The merman shed a small tear as he kissed them.

"Farewell, my dear siblings. Tell mother I love her, and remember me while I'm gone."

After waving one last goodbye, Josh dove back into the ocean and swam across the sea, until he found himself behind the rock near Tyler's condo.

He swam over to the shore, and sat on the beach, waiting for sun to rise.

When the sun started rising above the sea, Josh took out the potion the sea witch gave him, and drank it.

As he did, the transformation took effect, and it felt as if a sword was splitting him in two. Because it was so painful, he fainted.

Eventually, the transformation was complete, and Josh's tail became legs.

In the morning, Tyler came outside on the shore, and he spotted Josh laying on the beach. He ran to his side, where he saw him more closely.

Josh was laying unconscious. The waves washed along his body, and he was completely naked.

As Tyler looked at him, he saw something in him that he recognized.

"This is where I was found. How did he end up here?"

He reached down and touched his cheek.

"It feels as if I've seen him before."

Josh started opening his eyes.

"Who are you?" Tyler asked. "How did you end up here?"

The merman tried to speak, but no words came out of his mouth.

"Don't worry, I'll help you."

Tyler lifted the boy into his arms and carried him back into his condo, where he laid him in his bed and started nursing him back to health.

While healing him, he stayed by his side, talking to him and trying to get to know him.

"I wish you could tell me who you are." He told him. "You remind so much of someone."

"Someone? Who is it?"

"I was rescued by someone when I nearly drowned one day. I don't know who it was, but you seem to resemble them."

Josh got excited that he tried to get out of bed, but the pain in his feet made him fall. Luckily, Tyler caught him.

"It's alright, you're just exhausted."

He helped back into the bed.

"You just need to rest a few more days."

As Tyler got up to go get something, Josh reached for his hand.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna leave you. I promise."

Through the next few days, Josh continued to heal. He felt a great deal of sorrow, due to the fact he couldn't talk to the boy he fell in love with.

He wished he could tell him he saved his life, but he couldn't.
