Tyler stood at the balcony, watching Josh and admiring his beauty. He couldn't stop thinking about finding the one who saved his life. He was willing to search the rest of his life if need be.

As he watched, he heard a knock at the door. When he went to answer it, he saw it was Jordan. He was red, and covered in sweat.

"Jordan, what's wrong?"

"Tyler, we need to talk."

He invited him in, then they walked into the living room and sat down on the couch.

"Alright, Jordan Dun. What do you want to talk about?"

"Tyler, what I'm about to tell you is important, and you must listen to me."

The boy took a deep breath.

"Go ahead, Jordan."

"My sisters and I had a discussion. We want you to know that it was our younger brother that saved you from drowning."

Tyler looked at Jordan funny.

"What?"

"His name is Joshua William Dun. He was born with a merman syndrome called Sirenomelia. He's lived in our backyard cove ever since we was 4 years old. He saw you when you sank into the water, and he brought you ashore. He's the one who saved your life."

"And what proof do you have of it?"

Jordan didn't speak. He couldn't think of anything.

"See? That is how I tell you are lying."

"I am not lying, Tyler! Josh risked his life to save yours! Why are you denying it?!"

"Because you have no proof. Plus merpeople don't exist! There's no such thing as Sirenomelia! You're making it up!"

"Then how come I have a photo of our brother?!"

Jordan pulled out a picture that he took of Josh and showed it to Tyler, trying to prove to him the truth.

When Tyler saw the photo, he started recognizing the beautiful human merman

When Tyler saw the photo, he started recognizing the beautiful human merman.

"He looks so much like..."

"Like who?" Jordan asked.

Tyler wasn't sure.

"I don't know. You probably don't know him."

"What does he look like?"

"He's tall, but short. He has beautiful pink hair, and such grace and beauty, but he can't speak."

"Why won't he speak?"

"I don't know. I found him washed up on the shore, at the same place where I was found. When I tried to ask him what happened, he couldn't tell me."

When Jordan heard this, he automatically knew it was his little brother.

"T-That's our brother! That's Josh!"

"What?" Tyler asked.

"It has to be Josh. He must've gone to the sea witch and gave up his voice for a pair of legs!"

Tyler chuckled.

"Where on earth are you getting that?"

"It's the truth, Tyler! You have to believe me!"

"I ain't gonna believe in that mythical crap!" He cried. "Your brother is not a merman, he's not the mute boy I met. Matter a fact, he doesn't even exist!"

Jordan felt himself dropping to the floor when he heard the horrible words coming from Tyler's mouth.

"So do me a favor, Jordan Dun. Stop coming to me with lies, because all of them are bullshit!"

Tyler went to the front door and opened it.

"Leave my home, please."

Without any other way to convince him, Jordan left his condo, with tears in his eyes.

Tyler doesn't believe his brother is the one who saved his life, and will never believe who the mute boy truly is.

Josh was going to die, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

Until he thought of his two sisters.
