After Levi bandaged my hand, he led me to the living room and told me to make myself home. But I couldn't help but observe the penthouse.
His family is clearly rich to own a penthouse with three floors. And the way it was furnished and designed, it was kind of cozy and luxurious at a time.
I heard the lock go off, and a beautiful lady in a suit stepped in. She spotted me and was kind of surprised to see me here.
"Oh, hey, I'm Arianna Finch," she smiled
She was Levi's mother, then. She had brown eyes and brown hair but didn't look anything like Levi. Like, not even the slightest resemblance. Guess, he looked like his father, or either she was his stepmother.
"Pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Finch. I'm Nia," I greeted
"Mom, I didn't know you were going to be home early," Levi called from behind the island.
"Raiden called. He said you were looking for the first aid kit. He had a meeting to attend, so I came. Everything alright?" She asked
"Seriously? I call for first aid kit and you leave all your work and come home?" Levi asked incredulously.
"What? We thought you busted your knuckles again or split your eyebrow or lip or something. We thought you got into another fight," his mom protested. Wow, she sounds like Tony.
"Well, this time, surprisingly, I didn't get into a fight, but Knox and that girl over there did," Levi said pointing at me.
My face turned redder than a tomato in just a matter of seconds, as Levi's mom looked at me shocked, "Well, what was I supposed to do when that douche called Knox a halfbreed?" I defended, "Besides, I gave him an opportunity to apologize, no wait, I gave him two chances, but he didn't. So he got to deal with the consequences, don't blame me,"
Levi's mom burst laughing, "I like you,"
Why does everyone keep saying that?
"I like you too, I guess," I laughed awkwardly, being the CEO of not knowing what to do.
"I really like her," She laughed looking at Levi.
"The question is, who doesn't like her," Knox said emerging through, erm, somewhere. This penthouse is huge. And more like a labyrinth than a house.
"Well, I got a long list of people who don't like me," I said walked to the kitchen island, and took a seat there beside Levi's mom and Knox came and sat beside me.
"I have one too. For starters, Lucas doesn't like you. Most of the teachers don't like you and you've been in the school for just one day, and I guess now most of the girl population in our school don't like you either," Levi said
"What can I say? I'm just one lovable person," I shrugged, "By the way, Levi, if you are cooking those delicious blueberry pancakes for me then I have to say, I'm flattered but I'll take that as a thank you for your keys," I smiled innocently
He glanced at me for a second and then went back to flipping the pancake. I could see a small smile on his lips. That made my heart skip a beat. He smiled. Well, I don't know him. But he's attractive. A lot. And he has this serious face all the damn time and that snippet of a smile on his face did things, crazy things, in me, okay?
Something vibrated and as an instinct, I checked my pockets but then I realized I lost my phone. I saw Levi pick his phone from the kitchen counter and frown as he saw the contact. Then he turned to me with a somewhat shocked expression on his face.
"You are Tony Kasana's sister," He stated, meeting my eyes.
"Last I checked, that's who my brother is," I said frowning, "But, how do you know him?"
