"Have you seen the Twins?" Sven stopped me and Levi on our way to our room, "I can't find them,"
"No, dinner was the last I saw them. I thought they were with you guys," I said trying to keep my composure.
"They are in the living room, aren't they?" Levi asked. He tightened his hold on my waist.
"They were! And then they just disappeared!" Sven exclaimed; his skin pale.
"They should be here somewhere, we'll find them," I said putting my hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry,"
"I've looked for them everywhere and they are nowhere," he said, shakily.
"We'll find them, Sven," I said looking him in the eyes trying to calm him down, "Tell everyone to start looking, while Levi and I will go and look outside,"
He just nodded and rushed off. Levi and I went back into the backyard and started looking for them.
"ELITE."
"ELISE."
They weren't here.
"I can't find'em," Levi ragged, passing his hand through his hair messing his blonde curls up.
"Baby, look at me," I said grabbing his head, "We will fi—wait. do you hear that?"
"What?" He looked at me.
"Listen," I said, tapping my ear.
Then we heard it again. Sobs. Uncontrollable sobs.
I grabbed Levi's hand and dragged him to the bushes at the side where the two houses met. And there they were, Elite and Elise.
Elise was crying uncontrollably, and Elite's face was wet with tears too. Levi and I rushed to them and quickly wiped their tears and hugged them.
I grabbed Elite's face, "What happened, Princess?"
She pointed at the neighboring house and showed me Elise's scratched knee. "Our frisbee flew over there so we went to retrieve it. Then she bumped into this guy, and he pushed her down. I punched him in the balls for doing that, so he pushed me too and stormed away yelling curse words," She started crying again, "He called Elise 'stupid blind kid',"
"And." Elise hiccupped, "he called... Elite... 'annoying lit-ttle shit'"
How the fuck can he do that to kids? They are just six, for fuck's sake!
"I'm going to kill that asshole," Levi growled, pulling Elise close to his chest patting her head.
"Good job, Princess," I kissed Elite's head and smoothed her hair, "Can you describe that guy for me, Princess?"
She nodded but whenever she opened her mouth, she hiccuped so uncontrollably that she could barely speak. "It's okay, Princess, it's okay. Deep breaths. Take deep breaths, baby,"
I spoke softly as I kept smoothing down her hair to soothe her.
Once I got the description from her, I kissed her head and told Levi to get them inside. "Just make sure I don't kill them," I said to Levi before storming to make that motherfucker pay.
He was one of the guys that currently occupied the house beside ours. And after multiple warnings, they didn't listen. So, they will pay.
"NIA!" Levi yelled, hot on my heels.
"Take care of the Twin—" he cut me off.
"Sven is with them," He reached me quickly because I was wearing heels, "You don't get to beat that punk's ass alone," He looked me dead in the eyes.
