"You told me Grandma Dana loves Levi and Sven," Elite said in a small voice.

"She does," I said, not even believing it for a bit. But I don't want them to hate their Grandma.

"But—" she sobbed, making her twin sob harder.

"Shh," I whispered, "It's alright. It's fine,"

Levi sat down on the grass with Hawkins wrapped around his torso like a raccoon sobbing quietly, and Sven and Leora not so far. I followed the suit and sat down beside him, Elite and Elise still sobbing in my neck.

"I don't like it when people say Levi and Sven are not my brothers," Elise sobbed

"I don't like people who don't talk to them nicely," Elite hiccuped

"Oh, sweetie, I don't like them either," I said wiping their tears. Levi's face twisted in pain as if it hurt him to see his baby sisters in pain. "And Levi and Sven are your brothers. It doesn't matter what people say, as long as you know here," I patted their heart, "that they are your brothers,"

"I know," Elite said wiping her new galled tears furiously, "I just want to punch them and make them know that they are my heroes!"

"I know, Angel, I know," I said, my own eyes burning hard. Both of them climbed off me and turned to Levi, Elite's face twisted a little in what I perceived was jealousy when she spotted Hawkins with his face buried deep in Levi's chest. But it was gone as soon as it came.

Both of them climbed on Levi, making sure not to hurt Hawkins and squeezed the life out of Levi. Elise made herself comfortable on his shoulders wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.

"You are the best big bro in the world," she said

Elite climbed on him, sitting on his left thigh wrapping her tiny arms around him as best as she could, "I love you, Big bro, and I don't care what Grandma says, you are my hermano. And if she doesn't like you, I don't like her either," she pouted

Hawkins sobbed. "I wa-wanted t-to hurt her s-so b-bad," he admitted hiccuping, Levi's shirt was from his tears. His tiny face was wet, and his little heterochromic eyes that he got from his mother were red and puffy from crying. That made Elite and Elise sob harder.

My heart hurt. How could Grandma Dana do this? Didn't she care about anything? There were kids around, for fuck's sake.

"It's okay, champ," he said rubbing Hawkins's back gently, his other arm wrapped protectively around Elite.

"Me too," Leora said wrapping her arms around Elite and Levi. Her eyes were red and puffy too, and an indication that she has been crying too. "You are my brother. My big brother, my Superman,"

"Of course, Lee," he whispered, choking back a sob. I know this has hit him hard, and he won't break down in front of his siblings.

I didn't know he had such a close relationship with Hawkins and Leora too. It seems like he is the rock of all of his siblings. Hawkins and Leora consider him their big brother too, the person they can turn to for anything before they even turn to their parents.

"You can come too, Sven," He said quietly looking at Sven standing quietly looking at the scene before him. His eyes were swollen. That one look from Levi and tears started flowing down. He turned away, trying to keep his face straight and wiped the tears quickly.

Levi waited patiently. Sven finally came closer and wrapped his arms around him, almost as if he could protect his big brother. It hurt Sven too, that his parent's parents didn't like them only because they weren't related to them by blood. But the fact that he believed he had to stay strong for his big brother, warmed my heart.
