Mother and Papa both were waiting for us in the living room. Mom's head was buried in her laptop, typing frantically, while dad was pacing restlessly around the room.

"Oh, thank god," He let out a relieved breath as he saw us. Tears pooled in his eyes as he saw Nisa. He pulled her into a bear hug, so tight. "Don't you ever scare me like that," he breathed.

"Don't you ever go to a party like that! Do you even know what that stunt of yours," my mother started and pointed at me, "And yours, cost us? I thought you were smart—"

"Naina." My father glared at her, "Just cut the slack for a while. They've just returned home, just keep it off the bay,"

"You don't get to tell me how to treat my daughters," my mother snapped at him

"They are my daughters too," my father fired back at her, now glaring eye to eye with my mother.

"Are they?" She challenged, as she raised her brows.

And I felt the ground beneath me swipe away as I realized what she was insinuating. No. She's just messing with our heads

"Yes, they are," my father didn't back down, he took one intimidating step toward her making her take a shaky breath and back down.

"Mom, just calm down okay?" Tony tried to reason with her, "Nisa just woke up a couple of hours ago, and doctors said we have to keep her smiling as much as possible,"

"We wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for that hoe of your beloved sister!" My mother sneered pointing at me.

"Naina!" My father yelled at her grabbing her by her arm, which she shrugged out immediately taking another step away from my father throwing a nasty glare at him.

"Mom!"

"She's is your daughter too!"

My father, Tony, and Nisa exploded at her at a time. Even Levi let out a vicious growl at my mother.

I squeezed the life out of Levi's hand, but I don't think he could even feel it. Since the moment we entered the house, he was very tense. Even tenser than he was at the thanksgiving dinner in Tarrytown.

"My daughter, yes, and I wish she weren't. Useless. All she's ever been good at is being a burden and too much work. If it weren't for us, she would have been rotting in jail right now," my mother sneered, looking dead in my eyes.

There was so much hate in her eyes that it made my eyes sting.

"Mom I swear if you say one more word about her, this is the last time you will be seeing me," Tony glared her

"Don't you ever get tired of clearing her mess?" She asked curiosity lacerations in her voice.

Curiosity.

"Call us when she is done insulting my Nia," Levi said in such a low voice that it sent shivers through my spine. I even saw Nisa swallow from the corner of my eye.

"And who are you? Her latest fuck toy?" She looked up and down at him.

I almost lunged at my own mother, verbally and physically if it weren't Levi holding me back with one hand clamped around my mouth.

"Naina! Do you even realize what the fuck you are saying!" My father's voice boomed in anger, "Just go to your room and calm the fuck down!"

"Do not order me around!" My mother sneered, "And you," she spat pointing at me, "get out from my house, and do us all a favor and stay away from Nisa and Tony this time. You will end up killing them with your shenanigans,"
