[Prompt No. 2]
"I am so excited. Very, very excited." WuJi says, jumping out of his bed early in the morning.
Of course, the little dragon is excited. In fact, this is the most excited he has ever felt. After all, this is the very first time, a human has read his name.
WuJi goes to his small wooden sink that is filled with water to the brim and dips his small wooden cup in it. He takes the cup of water and places it on the small wooden stool perched next to his tiny wooden bed. Then he looks out the window that is right now, conveniently located on the wooden wall next to his bed. This window is WuJi's favourite item in his tiny home. But why is a window, his favourite item?
Simple. This window is very special. It's magical. Confused? Let me explain, you see, this window can move all over the walls of WuJi's tiny home.
For instance, when WuJi sleeps, the window places itself on the ceiling of his home, giving him a clear view of the night sky. WuJi loves looking at the twinkling stars at night.
Then when he wants to relax, and take a break from his routine activities, the window moves to the eastern side of the home. This is the side, that offers a view of the largest restaurant at the Taj Hotel and Resort. He sits with a glass of milk on his comfy tiny swing and looks at the delicious food that the waiters dressed in burgundy pants and shirts serve to the kids and adults alike.
Since WuJi is a water dragon, he loves the ocean. That is why, the first thing he likes to look at when he opens his eyes in the morning, is his beloved ocean. So every morning, the window moves to the western wall of his home, so that WuJi can take a look at the ocean, as soon as he opens his eyes.
Now you must be wondering, how does this window have the power to move? After all, the windows in our homes don't move.
As I mentioned previously, this window is magical. This window was a gift to WuJi from his mother when he had turned ten. Which was shortly before he was separated from his family and his people.
This window was one of the few items that WuJi was lucky enough to have with him when he was stranded on the human realm so many years ago.
This window is very special for one more reason, apart from the fact that this window has the power to move according to the will of the baby dragon, it also has the power to act as a protective barrier between the humans and him. So, as long as it stays with WuJi, he can stay invisible.
Now you are wondering how can WuJi carry a window while going outside. To carry a window on one's shoulder is very inconvenient, not to mention heavy!
How can a baby dragon carry an entire window on his shoulder? The answer is obvious. He doesn't carry the window on his shoulders at all. You see, the window is convertible. Every time, WuJi ventures outside his tiny wooden home, the window disappears from the wall of his home and appears on his palm, as a small ring. This ring has an oval-shaped emerald placed right in the centre. To be honest, it matches the baby dragon very well, since it looks exactly like the emerald that sits in the middle of WuJi's forehead.
So how is it that this ring can act as a barrier? This ring, when worn around the finger, turns the wearer invisible! So every time WuJi ventures out, he wears it around his finger, making him invisible to everyone in the human realm.
So why is it that WuJi doesn't wear it all the time? As for everything, this too has a reason. The ring can only be used for a couple of hours at a time, and once removed, it can only be used after forty-eight hours.
How inconvenient!
Anyway, this limitation has never bothered WuJi, because WuJi has never ventured out into the human realm unnecessarily. He only goes out to the sea once every forty-eight hours. And he only ever wears it for an hour at the most even when he goes fishing. WuJi has never felt that that's a problem. The little dragon believes that it would not matter even if the time limit is reduced. He is never going to need more time in the human realm anyway.
From what WuJi has noticed during all his years viewing the humans, he has come to the conclusion, that humans are mean and inconsiderate. They don't think about anyone but themselves. So no, WuJi doesn't want or need to spend more time among humans.
Little did the baby dragon know at this point that there would once come a day when he would wish for the exact opposite. A day when he would want the ring to work its magic for more than a few hours. And he definitely did not know, that that day was going to arrive very soon!
Now standing at the window, he has an uninterrupted view of the sea. WuJi chants a spell and the translucent barrier that acts as a mesh stopping the outside air from getting in, melts.
WuJi takes a deep breath of fresh air. "Oh, how I love the smell of the ocean in the early morning." He says happily, bouncing on his toes.
He closes his eyes and takes a few more deep breaths. Once he has had his fill, he pokes his head outside the window, to see if any humans are loitering around. As expected, he sees no one and he slowly steps outside his home through the magical window which expands to the size of a door, just big enough to let WuJi's little body out.
Once he is outside, the window goes back to its usual size and WuJi puts his hand inside the window, picking up the cup of water from the side of his bed.
Once again making sure that he is all alone, he takes a walk around the circumference of the huge tree. Stopping next to a deep cut on one of the branches, he lets out a loud sigh and shakes his head disapprovingly.
"Mean kids!" He mutters under his breath angrily before crouching down next to the wounded branch and pouring water on it.
Within seconds, the water seeps into the gash, that was probably left by one of the naughty kids, the day before.
WuJi smiles, "You are most welcome, dear friend." He says affectionately before hugging the huge banyan tree with his tiny blue arms.
When the baby dragon lets go of the tree trunk and go back inside, the nasty cut on the branch is nowhere to be seen.
Why? Simple. Because the water that WuJi had poured on the gash on the bark, was magical. It had healing powers. So, by pouring water on it, WuJi had healed the damage done by the naughty kid.
Oh, by the way, I almost forgot to tell you one more secret, which is, that WuJi can talk to trees. And just then, the big banyan tree had thanked the baby dragon for healing it with magical water.
