As Rosa and Oscar were arguing, I went to Angelina's room. I knocked on her door. "Can I come in?" I asked. I heard her small footsteps at the door, she opened it then she crawled back into her bed.
I pouted because she looked so sad, I closed her door then sat at the edge of her bed.
"Are you okay, Angelina?" She shook her head. "They always fight, it's usually mommies fault, from what I hear."
"I went through the same thing you're going through right now," She sat up putting her back against her bed stand. "Really?" She questioned. I nodded. I patted a spot on her bed so she can sit next to me. "Give me your hands," I laid my hands out as she put hers on top of mine. Then I closed my hand.
"Everything is going to be okay, as my mom used to tell me, you have to get through the hard times to make it better," I smiled. Then she started to cry. She laid her head on my thighs. "Mama, look at me," her puppy eyes made contact with mine. "Everything will be fine, your parents love you. Because of you, you make them happy." She nodded. Then someone cleared their throat. We turned and it was Oscar with Rosa.
"Have a goodnight sleep," I tucked her back in bed then I walked out of her room to go to the living room to sit on the couch.
"We appreciate you talking to Angelina," Oscar said sitting next to me. By Rosas' disgusted look, it didn't seem like she appreciated it. She sat next to him as she put her had on his chest.
"No problem," I nodded.
"So, you're able to stay here. Um, we have a room across from ours, you can stay in there." Oscar made eye contact with me. There it goes again.
"Wait what about Cesar?" Rosa looked at Oscar.
"Cesar? Your baby brother?" He nodded.
"He's been sleeping at Monses' so she's fine," Oscar said looking at Rosa. She nodded.
"Let me show you where we keep everything," Rosa smiled then she got up and went to the bathroom. So I followed her. She slammed the door and pushed me against it.
"Listen, bitch, I don't know who the fuck you are, but just know that Oscar is with me," She started. She really thinks I want him, I thought about it so much I laughed out loud.
"Something funny?" I shook my head. "Better not be,"
"Or else why? With your drunk ass, don't think I cant smell you Henny ass breath." She scoffed
"Stay away from him, you're just like these other bitches. So watch your back mama. She walked out of the bathroom. Then Oscar appeared.
"Here are your PJs. You probably didn't have any so, yeah. His room is right there," He handed me the PJs then pointed me into Cesars' room.
I walked into his room and I started to observe it. He seems really creative. I started to undress self then someone walked into the room.
I grabbed my shirt immediately then I turned around "Excuse me, knock first." It was Oscar again. He closed the door behind him then sat on the bed.
"I have to get dressed," I bucked my head to the door
"So?" He scoffed. "You're acting like I haven't seen anything of yours."
"Yeah and? You have a wife, and to me that's disrespectful." He sighed then covered his face with his hands. I rolled my eyes and continued to get dressed.
"Hey, what did she tell you in the bathroom?" Now I have my PJs on and got into bed, while Oscar was still sitting on the edge.
"Why didn't you just ask her?" I asked while putting my hair into a bun.
"Because I know she will lie about her response. So what she say?"
"She basically told me that she didn't know me and how I should stay the fuck away from you and that I should watch my back," he nodded and cleared his throat.
"Stop that," I said crossing my arms together.
"Stop what?" He said angrily
"That. Getting angry, it's hurting Angelina and she's thinking it's her mothers' fault. She just wants you guys to be happy." He nodded. "It's just when I was gone, I would always give her money for food, for Angelina, for everything, and it seems as if it's not enough for her. We're always getting into arguments over the littlest things and it's killing me." I nodded. He laid his body next to mine, now we're face to face.
"I have no one to talk to about it because her siblings are always gonna talk his side, my dad doesn't even like her and I'm just stuck having to take everything in." He started to tear up.
"Hold on," I got out of the bed to lock the door then I got back in bed. "I had to lock the door just in case she came in and thought something wrong." he sniffled.
"Does she know you're in here?" He sniffed then shook his head, "She thinks I left," I nodded. "Good, just stay the night in here then by morning you can just leave through the window and act like you're just getting home." He wrapped his arm around me, put his forehead onto mine.
"I still care about you, a lot, if anything wrong or going on, I need you to tell me. I don't want anything to happen to you. " I moved my body away from him, to see him already looking at me.
"I'm serious, I know you're still mad at me because I chose to do this fight club thing but trust me. It will all pay off. You just have to trust my process." I nodded.
"Nodding isn't acceptable, I need to hear you say that you trust me." I sighed then whispered. "I trust you,"
"Good," He put his body next to mine then he wrapped his arm around me. "Goodnight mi girasol" I felt a smile from his face on my head.
