>Alexa's POV<

I couldn't believe all this was actually happening to me. Something was seriously off about this place but that wasn't the worst part. I was apparently doing things without having the slightest clue or memory as to what I was upto.
I scared myself more than anything else did right now.

Dave and Vic hadn't returned from their search and the day would soon come to a close. Mike was apparently missing since morning and nobody knew of his whereabouts.

Geb was the only guy I came across today and he seemed to be avoiding us. Something was certainly fishy with all the guys. Majorly because they seemed to appear and disappear without a warning and if you questioned them about anything that confused you, they would give answers that confused you even more, making you wish that you didn't question them in the first place.
Or they would just look at each other and remain mute.
Either ways, it was extremely frustrating nevertheless.

Geb had joined us for lunch. Though neither Katie nor I was in the mood to  have food, he forced us (especially Katie) to eat something. There was something so persuasive about him that we finally conceded.
Only when I started eating, I realised I had been starving.
I began swallowing as much sphagetti as I could, trying my best not to be rude with my manners.
Katie was definitely used to seeing me eat but I didn't want to frighten Geb, though he seemed too engrossed with Katie to be bothered about how I gobbled down my lunch.

The way he looks at her....and the way she avoids eye contact with him....there is definitely something I missed out about Katie's past....

He kept trying to talk to her, but she just gave him curt replies. That wasn't like Katie. Nevertheless, it made the corners of his lips twitch from desperately trying to hide his smile.

Should I tell her that I had seen him in her kitchen on the day we left for the trip?
Maybe later.

Finally, he gave up on his attempt to make small talks with her and simply stared at her while she ate. She didn't realise this as she kept chewing, focused on not looking at him. But ofcourse, her rigid posture gave away the fact that she was being extremely self conscious.
Without a warning, he turned and gave me a steely look.
At first I was taken aback by this sudden hostility, but then I recovered quickly and then gave him a cool stare.

"So that's what you do when someone catches your red handed while you are staring at their bestfriend?", I asked him casually.
I noticed that Katie's cheeks turned red.

He grinned.
"No, that's what I do when I catch someone eating my share of food."

Now it was my turn to blush. With all my observation of the scene in front of me, I didn't realise the amount of food that went inside me.
"Oh damn. Didn't realise how much I ate....sorry!"

"It's fine. You girls eat. I'll go have something from outside. Don't worry."

With that, he got up and proceeded to mess my hair, before leaving the dining room. Two seconds later, we heard the front door open and swing shut.

"What is going on between you guys? I seriously need to know now. That guy keeps staring at you so much. He looks smitten."
I needed an explanation now. I probably reached a saturation point with all the mysteries as I couldn't take it anymore. Better to start finding out some answers.

"I know what this looks like to you. You probably think that both of us were in love at some point of time and had a bad breakup and he still hasn't gotten over me and I want to keep my distance from him. Right?"

"Yeah, well...it certainly looks like that..."

"It's true to some extent but not completely."

"Then tell me the truth."
