Chapter 3 - Katie's Cousins

>Alexa's POV<

Hmm..... I smell chocolate.....

But all I could see was complete darkness in front of my eyes.

After some time, I could feel something wet, smooth and warm, moving on my face and down my neck. It was so ticklish that I just wanted to push it away. But my hands refused to move.

Was I paralysed or something?!

Suddenly the movement stopped..... I tried desperately to remember why it felt so familiar....
And it occurred to me. Being licked by my dog felt the same.

WHAT THE....?! So that was a tongue?!

I opened my eyes in shock.

I was staring into a beautiful pair of eyes that belonged to an adorable face. Light grey eyes with long lashes and thick eyebrows. A concerned looking guy was staring down at me.

Did he actually lick my FACE?!

Without thinking, I punched his nose as a reflex.

"OUCHH!!", he exclaimed holding his nose.

"How DARE you LICK me?!!", I screamed at him.

"Excuse me! I don't have the slightest idea of what you're talking about! I just saw a young, unconscious lady sprawled on the floor in her bathrobe, and came running to help."

I mentally face palmed myself.

Why the hell would a random guy just come over and lick my face?!
I must be clinically brain dead or something.....

" I am SO sorry! I guess hunger is making me go insane!!", I genuinely hoped he believed that.

He seemed to be thinking it over and in a few seconds he flashed me his dimples.

I think I am forgiven..... Yayyy!

"It's no big deal! We all go a little mad if we're starving..... I was feeling hungry myself, which is why I planned to sneak into the kitchen." He gave me a sheepish grin.

"Oh! Same here!", I added enthusiastically.

"By the way, I am David Collins, Katie's cousin, and I am guessing you must be Alexa Lake". He seemed confident.

"That's right! But how do you know my name?"
I was definitely surprised because I don't walk around with a badge containing my name pinned to my dress.

"Actually Katie told me about you..... And turns out she was right. "

"What did she say?", I was inwardly praying it wasn't anything ridiculous.

He looked a bit embarrassed.
"She said you are... umm ... she said you're 'really attractive' ..."

Dammit! So this was the 'surprise'!

Katie knew I would be walking around the house in minimal clothing and she told it to her cousin. She knew I would think that the house is empty.....

I am gonna KILL that girl!

" Alexa, are you alright?"

I looked up to find him scrutinising my face. He went into the kitchen, came back and promptly stuffed something into the palm of my hand.

"Eat it! You look like you are plotting to kill someone. I just hope it isn't me."
Though his tone was mocking, he actually looked a bit freaked out.

I looked down at my hand and found a choco-chip cookie.

My face brightened up instantly on seeing food.

I immediately stuffed it into my mouth and began chomping like an animal.

David was desperately trying to hide his laughter, but his dimples gave him away.

He is so adorable...

"Umm...... I'm sorry for interrupting you people, but David has to come up with me urgently."

I turned around to find a good looking guy standing a few metres behind me. He was shirtless .

He had sandy brown hair that fell into his eyes which were a silverish blue and seemed to have a glow of its own.

Like secrets were hidden in their depths....

His skin was smooth and flawless. And so was everything else about him.

Why do I feel like I have seen him before?

I was positive that he wasn't the guy in the towel. But then, who was he?

As if he heard my thoughts, David walked up to the guy.
"This is my brother, Victor Collins."
I didn't fail to notice the emphasis on "brother".

"Hey, I am Alexa Lake. You can call me Lexi."
I smiled at him.

He just nodded an acknowledgement my way, and exchanged a quick look with David.

"Okay, I better get going. See you later!", David said hurriedly.
As they turned to leave, I noticed that they had the same tattoo of a wolf on their left arm. It extended from their shoulder upto their elbow. There was a bird at its base.

"Nice ink by the way!", I called out from behind them.

Both of them stopped dead on their tracks.

"How the hell can you-"
David stopped mid-sentence and turned around looking shocked.

Victor gave David a sharp look before turning to me.
"Thanks. See you at breakfast."
Victor said with a strained smile.

I watched as the guys walked away with long powerful strides. Both of them were tall with athletic physique.

What's with weird sexy guys and matching tattoos?
Probably Katie's cousins are crazier than her....

I just shrugged to myself, grabbed some more cookies from the kitchen, and tried to find my way back to the staircase.
Luckily, I remembered the route I took and found it in no time.

It was after I took the first step, that I looked on top of the staircase to find vicious eyes staring back at me.

The eyes of a wolf!
